Is it possible GOG could aquire the rights to sell this first version of the Persona series? I've never played it but I would like to play the entire series. Wiki says it was ported to windows so I thought it might be possible.

It's possible I suppose, I don't know if it's doable though. It comes down to how the developer feels.

It's not that easy. GOG needs to get negotiate with the rights holders, test them on newer PCs, etc. Do you know who owns the rights to those games? If the rights owners already have other games on GOG, then there's a chance those games might be published as well.

Atlus publishes the NA version of the game.

Atlus doesn't have any games on GOG as far as I know, so you may be out of luck :(

Well that about sums it up. I added it to the wish list, who knows maybe it will get some traction!

In general I find it frustrating games like this and tactical ogre are out of the reach of consumers who want to play it on a big screen vs a handheld. Maybe they will be willing to play ball as it is a much older title and GOG has shown they can be sold for a profit. At some point getting access to these older games becomes a catalyst for sales for the newer games.
