Lone3wolf: Yes, but my favourite was "The Squits". Patients made funny brown messes everywhere, and you had to have janitors to clean it up with their mops :P

tfishell: Ha ha, it's rated "E" so presumably they couldn't say something else. But I suppose it "pushed" the E rating in same ways; weren't behinds visible because of the open hospital gowns? :P
I've said it before bu the 'Live Autopsy' machines in that game gave me the heebie-jeebies, there's some 'E' rating pushing right there!
In the words of Steve Smith, Esquire :

It was AWWWWWWWWWWESOME!
Patients are reminded not to die in the corridors
That game was horrible. I don't understand what people liked with it.

It had:
Bad graphics.
No story
No strategy
It was way too easy
No new ideas, every level was more or less the same.
No 3D, the game was made in 1997!
The developers tried to be funny. Ha ha ha......, I can also be funny.
I never got the sound to work
No multiplayer
Horrible AI
No real diseases. No real cures. No real doctors. I expected getting a taste of how it is like running a real hospital. Nope.
No romances between the staff. This is a hospital game.
Stupid mechanics, I never got beyond level three.
No awesome button
The game was one of the worst released in 1997. I hope GOG never release it.

I'm just messing with you. I really like this game :-)

I was thinking of installing it for my niece and nephew but since I seem to remember it didn't work without problems on XP it would probably have to be the dos version. Perhaps I'll just wait for GOG to do their stuff.

Or, as I say, there's a Freeware Re-make

Nope, it's not a freeware remake. You still need the original game data to run it. Plus it's still pretty damn buggy at the moment.
Would love to see it, hope it becomes a GOG soon!
Yeah, I were pretty addicted to this game back in the day. I would probably buy it again if this get released in GOG.
I wish the difficulty were more balanced, though.
I remember times when things got too out of control, with earthquakes every few minutes, people dying and vomiting everywhere. :p

You really went all out for just messing with us. ;) I'm sure some of it is rose-colored glasses, but somewhat true for almost any game.

I got Theme Hospital in an EA pack back around '01-ish, I suppose. It had Need for Speed III:HP, Red Alert, ... wait.

*Searches online*

YYYEEEAAAAAHHHH... I think I found the box cover! :D

Oh yeah, it's a source port, I could've sworn I read the word 'clone' but never mind - could still be worth checking out for the guy I actually replied to if not the OP as that guy sounds like he has the disk, that 'issues' list does look pretty long though, I have to agree...
