Best brawlers of the galaxy in one explosive game!

Ultimate Body Blows the complete edition of Team 17's classic 1990s 2D brawler featuring a galactic fighting tournament, is now available on GOG.com, for only $5.99.

Life in the streets taught me to respect my opponent in combat, but never to fear him. When I faced that towering Ukrainian fighter, Kossak, I felt no fear, even though I knew his training routine includes hand to hand sparring with bears. Then, in the first tournament's finale my opponent turned out to be a cyborg. A goddamn machine that feels no pain. I had to admit--for a moment there, looking into the red light of his visor, I was scared. But I pulled through. But this here? Space aliens? Fire demons? Dragons? This time around, I tell myself, it's ok to be scared. Face your fears and win the tournament--that's my plan.

Ultimate Body Blows sports solid, straightforward fighting mechanics with no gimmicks and tricks. You'll be instantly brought back to the arcade machines that you used to feed every quarter you had as a kid. The Ultimate edition combines the 1993's Body Blows and Body Blows Galactic to create an explosive fighting event of cosmic proportions, featuring all the best martial artists of known space. Expect to face some strange creatures in the arena--or become one yourself!

Accept the fighting challenge of a lifetime, get Ultimate Body Blows , for only $5.99 on GOG.com! Bonus MP3 soundtrack included.

JudasIscariot: How does one release HALF of a game? O.o
He likely means that one game is old and the other is, well, semi-old.

tfishell: Glad to see we have 1.5 old games released today, but I do feel a little underwhelmed. Maybe the last few weeks have spoiled me. I guess, given what leaps and bounds GOG has been making, I'm surprised we didn't receive at least one item that was higher up on the wishlist, in the 100s.

Perhaps they're working on configuring some of those new publisher's titles! :) (HEY, AMERICAN SPRING BREAK IS NEXT WEEK. Well, for me it is. CAN WE GET SOME NEW INFO ON THE PUBLISHER?)

HALF-LIFE 3 CONFIR... wait, this isn't Reddit.

Yes, 2005 is about my personal threshold for "old"; I realize that 7 years is actually quite old in the gaming world, but from my perspective it just isn't that old, so it's 0.5 x old. ;)

Oh, by the way: AMERICAN SPRING BREAK IS NEXT WEEK. Well, for me it is. CAN WE GET SOME NEW INFO ON THE PUBLISHER?
NFI. Never heard of this game.Ever....

You know I can't just give that kind of info out...

LiquidOxygen80: I'm gonna ignore the BB haters and simply say that I had a blast with it back in the day. Sure, there's a lot of flaws with it, but if you like a brainless beat 'em up brawler, then this is for you. It can be pretty frustrating at time, but once you're able to recognize patterns in the opponents, you can pretty much win with any character in the stable.

It's obviously not an award winner by any stretch, though, and I'd sort of class it with like, Brudal Baddle or Sango Fighter.
I totally agree with you. The game wasn't as brutal s Mortal Kombat or as popular as Street Fighter 2, but when you played Body Blows Galactic with a friend/sibling you always had a blast, because the game was funny (fighters had really silly lines). This game brings definitely good memories for me.

This is what I asked thismorning to no avail. Most fighting games no matter how great tend to get old if you don't have someone other than the bots to play with, is this the case here?

Maybe because this game was more popular on Amiga computers than PCs...

Well, I don't want to bring you the bad news but in my opinion this game shines when you play it against human opponents, but according to my memories it wasn't as captivating as Street Fighter 2 (or MK series) in single player mode. But then again I wasn't huge fan of beat'em up games, I played maybe a dozen or so of those games only.

I had never heard of this game before. Dinosaur called Dino, dragon called Dragon? Perhaps it even plays well, but no wonder beat'em ups have never been huge in the PC.

You can't blame me for trying, though, right? ;) Actually, what I'm hoping is that GOG will be holding a conference about that in the coming weeks, an official announcement and a few games we can expect. (IIRC that's what happened when EA came here.) That doesn't seem like too much to ask for, unless you guys plan on releasing one or two games from the new pub on the day you announce them, and are preparing stuff for then.

Huh. So that's where this CD's art is from. (See attached picture.)

I bought that CD last year, it has tons of SNES roms. How it ended up in a Chinese bootleg CD... heh.

I can give a shot.
Never heard of it. Not into fighting games much anyway. Would get FX fighter , had that one and liked it. But keep them coming GOG.
