Lock down the mouse like El Presidente.

Tropico 3 Gold Edition, the third part of the excellent management/political simulation series, is available with the Absolute Power expansion for only $9.99 on GOG.com. That's 33% off the ful price of $14.99 price until on the 14th of June.

Ahhh, how good it is to be the “El Presidente”. What would become of the idyllic little caribbean island if it wasn’t for the great and just leader! Plan plan the layout of their urban areas, secure jobs, build churches and schools, provide electricity, food, and healthcare, and--finally--export precious goods at the best price (with only the smallest cut for yourself). As El Presidente, your people love you: they cheer when you speak and they may even even set up a golden statue of you. And why wouldn't they? You are the benevolent El Presidente! You want only what is best for your peopel! Sure, every once in a while you must have someone killed and you tolerate no dissent of any kinds but that’s a price worth paying for someone like El Presidente. If only those damn commies and capitalists would leave you alone. Just wait until you get your hands on a nice big red atomic button. Then they'll see who's in charge!

Tropico 3 is a game that puts you into the shoes of a dictator ruling over an island banana republic. It is not only a construction and management simulation, but a political simulation as well, in which you need to create a booming economy, keep your people happy, trade with the world, maintain balance between various factions (communists, capitalists, religious, loyalists), and do other dictatorish stuff. If you’re a fan of city-building games, this should be an instabuy: it looks amazingly good, offers logical and very complex game mechanics, and is filled with tons of politically incorrect humor.

You never know when you’ll need to take control over a small country--prepare now with Tropico 3 Gold Edition for only $9.99 until 14 June 2012 at 10:59 GMT.

Thiev: Our version comes with pre-installed default serial key, which is why the game doesn't ask for one upon launch and you can play Tropico 3 offline without hassle.
On your Account page you can find another, unique serial key that is needed if you want to create a Kalypso account and use game's online features.
Ah, goodie! Thank You! ;)
Got around to buying it - even though I had it on Steam, $10 is a good price for getting it "Steamless" (especially since the very cool soundtrack is included).
I think, regarding difficulty, it's the best of the series. It's way less frustrating/annoying than Tropico (for example, the introduction of cars is a huge boost), but still considerably more difficult than Tropico 4 (at least in my opinion).
A Mac release would have been an instabuy! But NO!! Come on GOG! Please do Mac versions too. ;-)
An Amiga Release would be an Instabuy for me, but no thanks for the PC Version :)

Too bad there is no Amiga App Store for you. I can buy Tropico 3 Gold on the Mac App Store at least. I'd just rather buy games from GOG when I can. ;-)
