A Powerful laser, a rocket launcher, and a grappling hook--it’s not a setup for an action FPS but for a one unique sandbox puzzler.
[url=http://www.gog.com/en/gamecard/tiny_and_big_grandpas_leftovers]Tiny and Big: Grandpa’s Leftovers, an original comic-styled sandbox platformer, is available now on GOG.com for only $9.99.
You play as Tiny, a humanoid tech-nerd with a knack for cutting and pulling rocks, and a thing for underwear. Big, your arch-rival, has stolen Grandpa’s Leftovers, a magical pair of white ribbed underpants, which allow him to throw rocks at you and generally be a pain in the bottom. To find him--and fight him--you will cut, pull, and rocket your way up or down through the desert, mountains, and other places you wouldn’t normally visit. To aid you on the great quest for underpants, you get a powerful raycutter, a grappling-device, and a rocket, along with a variety of completely destructible environments with better-than-life physics.
Tiny and Big: Grandpa’s Leftovers is a typical indie example of an innovative and great game--a new gameplay idea, a unique graphical style (speech bubbles, pencil line shading, and huge visual sound effects so you see a “THUD” written when a rock hits the ground), and a rocking soundtrack (find tapes in game to unlock new tracks!). There are only three ‘weapons’ but the variety of possibilities to pass through the obstacles is enormous--every time you re-play you can try new cuts, new pulls, and new methods of completing puzzles. Also, the game lets you explore and find various secrets scattered around the levels.
If you’re looking for a clever platformer, Tiny and Big for $9.99 is a no-wonder, so get it now DRM-free on GOG.com.
