You might not think that a hospital sim could be so funny, but remember: laughter is the best medicine!

Welcome to the GOG.com clinic! As a treatment for typical symptoms of moderngameboringus--lack of creativity, no sense of humor, and mindless repetition--we recommend a wonderful insta-cure: Theme Hospital for a co-pay of only $5.99!

Theme Hospital is a hospital management simulation. You need to fill the empty building with all sorts of hospital equipment, starting from desks and file cabinets, to ultra-sophisticated diagnostic machinery like DNA fixer or Head Inflator: you know, equipment every hospital needs. Then you hire all necessary staff members like doctors, nurses, handymen, or receptionists, and once everything’s set up, treat patients as they come in suffering from a variety of humourous illnesses, including Hairyitis, Bloaty Head, and even Slack Tongue (caused by over-discussion of soap operas!).

Theme Hospital is all about the little details: staff personalities, patients vomiting, doctors chilling in the staff room, and fantastic comedic cutscenes. Your hospital requires not only the best staff and equipment but pool tables, soda machines, radiators, and plants to keep your patients and doctors alike happy. Fans of micromanagement will be pleased, but so will fans of fun!

Do what it takes to make the world a better place: pick up Theme Hospital for $5.99 on GOG.com today!
Anyone else fancy a KitKat after seeing the screenshots?
I'm glad to see that the fears of GOG.com letting up on the release of classics in favour of new titles have, so far, proven to be completely unfounded.

This is one of the games I still have my big-box copy of laying around, and that I would recommend everyone with an interest in humorous business simulations pick up.
Music is available to use with CorsixTH (or just to listen to for kicks) here:

Will add this to my wishlist later.
I remember playing this on PSX, it's quite entertaining. what is the major difference between psx and PC version? will get this sometimes in the future because I just have emptied my wallet with HOMM V - AC combo ;_;
I'll probably buy this game at some point.
I played this game every Christmas since the first day I fell into my hands.

I bought it, but I miss the Spanish language :(
does this version work on windows 8? the one i found for free (as an abandonware) said that it is not compatibile with 64-bit operation systems.

It's the DOS version of Theme Hospital, so it's effectively dependent on whether DOSBox runs on Windows 8 properly. I've heard that there have been problems.

I loved this on playstation. I think thres more illnesses and clinics in the pc version (dont quote me tho :D) and the graphics are better however i find the pc version much harder. Still alot of fun though and its definitely worth picking up :)

I've got DoS games on GoG.com and none have any issues running on my 64bit system, however its windows 7, if Windows 8 has issues it'd be Windows 8 related, not 64bit.
Is nobody going to point out that Theme Hospital isn't Abandonware anymore?
