A transfusion of freshness!

Surgeon Simulator: Anniversary Edition DLC, adding new kinds of operations, a stat tracking system, and some shiny-new graphics to the ultimate medical experience that is Surgeon Simulator, is available for Windows and Mac OS X (with the Linux version on the way) on GOG.com, for only $2.99.

This is an add on-pack for players who already own Surgeon Simulator 2013. It will upgrade Surgeon Simulator 2013 to Surgeon Simulator: Anniversary Edition. If you don’t already own the game, head to Surgeon Simulator: Anniversary Edition full game to get your surgeon on.

Please note that the DLC is regionally priced. If you happen to pay for it more than the standard USD price, we'll give you back the difference in store credit as per our Fair Price Package

From carrying out terrifying transplants in theatre, to surgical procedures in the hospital corridor, Surgeon Simulator: Anniversary Edition DLC takes malpractice to the next level.

Niggles: a regional priced indie game....

HypersomniacLive: The really odd thing about it is that it's a regionally-priced DLC for an indie game that is flat-priced.
Was going to edit my comment.. but yes... its a worry if indie devs start to do that bs...
Be interesting to see how they justify the regional priced DLC like u said considering most indie games arent available at retail stores on disk...

And it offers me a whole $0.20 back here in the UK!

This does lead to more wtf questions surrounding the max exodus of 35 games if they are willing to do this...

Yes! Regional pricing! Loosing 35 classics to be able to release this kind of crap, nicely done!
GOG better have some EPIC classics lined up because this is going downhill fast.
I'm confused; first we lost a bunch of titles because GOG will not allow any flexibility for seemingly reasonable allowances to their regional prices - and people are still up in arms to avoid regional pricing even so minimal as less than $1?

Starmaker: I think you have two non-convertable store credit balances, and add to and can use the one denominated in whatever currency you're using at checkout with a given purchase. GOG cannot convert currency for legal reasons.
That make sense. Besides, it would be needlessly messy. Still, it's weird that I'm given the choice between two different regional prices depending on the currency I pick. If I was in the US I'm guessing I would be charged $2.99. Here I have a choice of $3.19 with a 20c rebate or £1.99 (~$3.27) with a 10p (16c) rebate.

Something is very wrong here. I pay more than US customers either way, but if I pay using GOG's much touted option for local currency then I get charged a bit more AND get less credit. I'm guessing it's similar in other currencies.
Basically, the fair price package only seems to work as advertised if you pick USD.

Crazy that even such low priced dlc are regionally priced - who would have tought that. It makes you wonder what else people overpay since its all the same global digital market.

And since even this dlc is regionally priced then I wonder what was really happening with games from Nordic and Frictional.

SirPrimalform: [...]

I'm also a bit confused about how the fair price package works with the two currencies I'm permitted to use. I can pay $3.19 or £1.99 for this DLC and get either 20c or 10p credit. This doesn't make much sense, 10p is more like 16c. Also, is store credit fixed in one currency or does it switch depending on what I choose at the bottom of the page?
GOG has added a new section in their FAQ about Store Credit. You'll find the answer to your latter question here.
Bought the DLC and I can't even install it. Says that base game can't be found and need to install GOG version of the game. I have installed GOG version and even downloaded the latest version and re-installed the game. Still can't install the DLC.

Thanks, but I'm more concerned about the discrepancies now. If I pay in £ on a regionally priced game then not only do I pay more (than paying the regional price in $) but I get less store credit. Methinks GOG needs to iron some bubbles and creases out of the way these things are calculated.

Same here... GOG, are you going to fix this?

In regards to this specific one, it could very well be an issue with £, as with EUR it seems to check out ok.
Haven't really done a comparison for all regionally games though, so it could just be a coincidence that EUR & USD prices check out ok for this one.
This game strikes me as one of those which are fun to play for like 10 minutes, and then the hilariousness will wear out.

Maybe I am wrong (But I don´t intend to find out).
