Hamballs: Downloaded the game but it does not work. Colours are all screwed up, and if I attempt to exit the game, windows crashes. Any suggestions?
You can always play the DOS Version (which is included and IMO better anyway). And normally you shouldn't run into corrupt colors but somebody else had the problem as well. He was an AMD user, updated his AMD graphics drivers and that fixed the problem for him.

Also the question is whether you launched the game through the desktop shortcut or directly via "TIESTART". If you do the latter you will definitely get the corrupt colors by default because it's the launcher (that the shortcut leads to) that solves the problem.

canidaelightning: Does any body know how to change the config on recharging weapons. I know it's F9 and F10, but on my PC that is the controls for adjusting volume? Any suggestions? Thanks!
It's definitely F9 for power to the lasers, and F10 for the shields. At least for the DOS version. I've been using thr same key since 1994 :)

As I didn't see it on the forum I'll put it here. GOG announced:

Veloxi: To get space the right color, go to the graphics mode setup program and select opengl for the display mode.

I also tested TIE Fighter on DOS with a gamepad, and it was....alright. Not great, but workable.

So, I found the link, and went to the Twitch site. I can see the video player, and can click on the play button, but nothing happens. I can never figure out how it's supposed to work! It's about 9 hours after the event, right? So can you ONLY watch this live, or do they record it for later? There are NO CONTROLS for this player at all, just a pause button in lower-left, and a bunch of annoying thumbnails for other videos (er, static images) to watch. Need help on this.

EDIT: just tried again, can't get it to work. I notice the word "OFFLINE" in the upper-left corner. Makes sense. I guess that means if you weren't there when they recorded it, you can't watch, right... as there's nowhere to go "online" with it now. Bummed.

It's not exactly intuitive, but you can check out past broadcasts at http://www.twitch.tv/gogcom/profile/past_broadcasts. I'm not sure why twitch is so hard to use.

Wow, that link worked! The link posted by GOG apparently only works while they're actually streaming live, right? Today if you follow that link, it says something like "WE'RE CURRENTLY OFFLINE. DON'T MISS THE NEXT STREAM" and they offer you no way to access the TIE recording.

Furthermore, the GOG page on Twitch is really messed up. There's a photo of TIE FIGHTER SPECIAL EDITION in the lower left corner... but if you click the PHOTO, it takes you to the SW:KOTOR page. Ooops. The link below the photo is correct, however.

But your link worked right away. Thanks for posting!
