nijuu: Im wondering. How did GOG not encounter those problems during testing the game?
Yeah me too . Also Steam version have same problems :S
Wishlisted due to lack of money.
Il buy it soon though.

One of my favorite games from the Amiga days.

Daliz: Any differences in multiplayer vs Steam, like in The Chaos Engine?
Didn't see this get answered, apologies if it did.

It seems that the game is only local co-op, even for the Steam version. There are some on Steam forums upset about it there since the page advertises it as "Multi-player" instead of "Local Co-Op".

Speaking of which, it would be nice if GOG's gamecards distinguished the difference.
Wat? Its local co-op? You cant play against a friend? Well, that sucks since imo thats the whole point of these games.
Reminds me a little of P.U.L.P. from the little I've seen of it. Anyone able to comment on how accurate that impression is?

I guess I got my answer in a roundabout way. I suppose I'll pass on this one too.

Not really. Its also a management type of sim and a decent AI is fun too

If my memory doesn't fail me, you could definitely play against each other in the original Amiga version.

Was referring to the comment about whole point of the games.... yes i think u could player v player on the c64 version as well.could be wrong
By the way, would people please refrain from making 5-star reviews of this when they haven't actually played it? Yes, the Amiga version was fantastic, but this is not the Amiga version. If you haven't played it, don't review it!

Yep, you can play against a friend in both Speedball games on the C64. It's 100 times more fun than playing against the computer. :D

None of that on Atari ST, except if you count upgrading your players between matches with the money won/collected during the bloodbath. Possibly buying "star players" in league mode as well, but I could be misremembering ; I mainly played this two-player. Not what I would call "management sim" anyhow, Football Manager this is not.
