The most dangerous game?

Sir, You are Being Hunted, a procedurally-generated British horror game in which tweed-wearing robots hunt you for sport, is now on GOG.com for $16.99 (15% off the full price) until 9:59 AM GMT on 08 May 2014.

The door opens. A gentleman of the robotic persuasion stands before, puffing gently on an anachronistic pipe. In its hands, a tray: on the tray, a card with subtle off-white coloring. It's tastefully thick--it even has a watermark! On it, the simple, dreaded salutation: Sir, you are being hunted. And with that, the horror unfolds...

In Sir, You are Being Hunted, you visit a procedurally-generated world where robots in tweed hunt you whilst guzzling tea and gobbling crumpets. You, in turn, must run, must hide, and must gather together the supplies to fight back. Even once you're armed, it's hardly a sure thing that you will manage to resist the uncaring hordes of upper-crust automata and survive the deadly hunt, as the brutal AI learns from you and gets tougher as you play.

With a variety of biomes, a smattering of foes, a dash of weapons, and a soupçon of bizarre gadgetry, Sir, You are Being Hunted is, without a doubt, the oddest entry to the survival horror genre in quite some time, but the fine team at the appropriately-named Big Robot, Ltd have brought it all together to make a fantastic experience. Jolly good rummy rot!

Pick up Sir You are Being Hunted for $16.99 (which is 15% off the full price) before 9:59 AM GMT on 08 May 2014. As always, it's 100% DRM-free.
Sadly my 'classic' OS's won't run it but it looks like a fascinating game. ;-)
Ah, if only I had known this was going to be released here... I got it on Steam during early access, but since I planned to wait anyway for release I didn't play it. Oh well, I wish there was a better 'coming soon' list here!
Should have been called "You, Sir Are Being Hunted" !
But looks like a funny concept

PaterAlf: Here's the developer's YouTube site with several gameplay and update videos from the last year:

It should give you a good impression about the game's atmosphere and features.
Thanks for that, I'll check 'em out. :)

Zoidberg: Already bought it months ago on the Humble Store. Played it for bits here and there, should go back to it, pretty nice from what I've gathered.

I think it's still in beta yes.

Fever_Discordia: Actually it says on their Steam page:
"but really big news is that Sir's single player mode will hit v1.0 on May 1st"
I guess multiplayer's still WIP though...
Ooooh, ok. Does this mean that the save folder is changed as of today?
This is one hell of a funny concept for a game :D
For a moment I thought this was a videogame adaptation of the movie The Pest starring John Leguizamo.
I'm definitely interested, but I think I shall wait until they'll be done patching this. ... Let's just say Fract OSC has made me extremely wary of completely new indie games.

Agreed. With this being a Day One out-of-beta, I think I shall abstain until the first heavy-duty patch is released. But still glad to have it here on GOG.
Not entirely my cup of tea to be plainly honest,
though I really fancy its peculiarly British design among our midst.
We defintely could do with more room for refined English taste on our bleak and dull continent.

Ta-ta for now
Cool but I already got it when the beta phase was already drm-free (kudos to the devs for that) via the humble store.

For people who are still on the fence because of the out-of-beta stuff : even the first beta-releases were very stable and the overall gameplay (such as inventory use for example) got severly improved with the testers feedback so you should consider it now as "matured" release (expect just 1 or 2 minor patches).
Wow, very surprised, AND HAPPY, to see this on GOG.

It's been getting rave reviews from critics, and I've watched several video previews of it and been fascinated.

On my 'Must Buy' list at the moment, due to not being able to stop playing Minecraft, but will be grabbing it in the next few weeks.

Thanks GOG!
Glad to see promising indie games on G.G. :)

Oh, damn it. Another good-looking game for the list, a touch of maniacal laughter from the watermark reference, and the joy/kick to the wallet knowledge that I'll need another 140 items to hit 50 percent catalog completion (based on a 4 game a week release schedule, little extra added for those weeks you guys really, REALLY try to murder my finances) by the end of the year.
I had this on my radar for some time, but even if I didn't, the title alone would make me want to buy this. "Sir, You Are Being Hunted" - that has to be one of the most awesome game titles ever. It tells you pretty much everything you need to know.
Sadly, I can't buy this at the moment. But sooner or later (hopefully sooner, rather than later) I'm gonna get this, no doubt.
