Decide the fate of Ancaria!

Sacred 2 Gold, an old-school-at-heart action-RPG with combat galore, tons of epic loot, and an engaging struggle between darkness and light, is available 60% off on GOG.com.That's only $7.99 until Monday, August 18 at 9:59AM GMT.

I can feel the disturbance in the energy. It sings to me a sad song of chaos and destruction to come. Are you here to help Ancaria regain its balance? Or will you let it descend into madness of war? It wasn't always like that, you know. This mystical power, the source of all magic and life, was controlled and watched over by the Seraphim and the world was at peace. Then, the angels passed on their knowledge to the High Elves and so it began. It corrupted them, brother turned against brother, empires went to arms, drowning the continent in blood. The energy itself became perilous creating foul and chaotic creatures wherever it spilled, now mutated beasts roam the land praying on simple folk. Will you heed my call, mighty warrior? Are you the one to decide the fate of Ancaria?

Sacred 2 Gold, set two millenia before the epic events of the original Sacred, allows you to hack 'n' slash your way through a vast world full of foes of all shapes and sizes. The amount of weapons and armor you'll have at your disposal is mind-boggling. With plenty of choices between following the light or shadow campaign quests, an addictive levelling system, and multiple character races considerably affecting playing styles Sacred 2 delivers on its promise of hours upon hours of fast-paced fun. Acting as a prequel to the original game, Sacred 2 Gold Edition comes packed with bonus content, including the awesome Ice and Blood expansion adding new regions, a new playable character, and countless new items.

Embark on an action-packed quest to bend the mystical T-Energy to your will and decide the fate of Ancaria in Sacred 2 Gold, for only $7.99 on GOG.com! The 60% off discount is in effect for the next 72 hours.

pigulici: Good, I have steam almost only for this, so bye steam, the price it is ok (even I re-buy); I wonder if gog version support the community patch(steam vers does)...
We haven't added the community patch because it adds extra features to the game and there is no option to just add the fixes, if any. Finally, we haven't really asked if we could use the patch so without the community's blessing there's no point in using the patch :)

SimpleUser: Thank you GOG - instant bought

Side note: can the GOG Community Wishlist elves also mark the follow items completed so my OCD can settle down :)

*EDIT* forget that! Arrgh! Dont know how to post links - please just search for Sacred 2 :)

Thanks again GOG and keep bringing us these great games.

rnorton30: True (and I have a physical copy with that DRM, a steam copy, and a GG copy), but GG's had a DRM-free version for quite some time. It's just Deep Silver and/or GOG dragging their feet on this release (sorry, truth). At least it's finally here.

F1ach: Whats the problem with the "securom" my versions are 360 and Steam.
avatar
Grargar: Like I said, wait till I download the game, attempt to apply the community patch found here and then write it off, OK? :P
avatar
F1ach: Cool, bated breath mechanism applied :)

Cheers mate :)
Well, uhhh, they contain SecuROM for starters :P

F1ach: According to Deep Silver on steam forums :

After testing the EU version of Sacred 2: Fallen Angel, this one no longer has Securom

Thanks for the reply :)
Ah well, my fault for not researching I guess :D

Hecke: You're not strolling through the cologne trade fair? :)
Nope :) I am right here in Poland :D

I've had my fair share of GOG travels this year, I got to go all the way to LA :D

Nirth: What was the difference between 2.65.1.0 and 2.65.2.0 exactly?
2.65.2.0 was just for the Ice and Blood expansion, not the Gold Edition :D

JudasIscariot: 2.65.2.0 was just for the Ice and Blood expansion, not the Gold Edition :D
avatar
DyNaer: the hotfix is indeed for ice & blood , but ice & blood is part of the gold edtion isn't it ? :)
It is, but the Gold Edition is a different version than the previous standalone versions of Sacred 2 and sacred 2: Ice and Blood.
avatar
Nirth: No but the elite textures added another couple of GBs as well. :)

What's the big deal, just purchase one of those TBs harddrives.
avatar
viperfdl: The big deal is not the storing but the downloading. It would take 16h for me!
That's why I always put huge games for download while I sleep or I play an already installed game while waiting for another game to arrive :D

I leave the office today and I will have all the games I want without downloading :P

GOG staff advantage GO! :P

I thought I was engaged in a speed contest with disi. No teasing intended :) My net at home is quite atrocious, on the other hand :P

Potzato: If I move to a cardboard house in the back-alley behind gog's office, is it possible to get my gogs delivered through the window ? [/DRMfreeISthatGREAT]
You'd have to cut a window out first in your hypothetical cardboard box :D

SeduceMePlz: Discount seems to have ended early?
avatar
rtcvb32: It also specifies 72 hours. Maybe they meant Sunday, but i doubt it...I'm sure one of the admins will notice and update it or clarify. The topic says it's 3 days old, but i bought it halfway through the first day on the 15th, so it shouldn't be done yet.. should it? *shrugs*

Well it's on GoG... worst case, it will be on sale again soon, like during Holloween :)

edit: Magog comments it was added on the 14th, not the 15th...
Due to unforseen problems with counting to 72 and then translating it into actual days the newspost should have read "Sunday, August 17, 9:59AM GMT". Apologies. :(

tfishell: I think GOG needs to do right by people and extend the sale 24 hours. I'm sorry but this was your or another GOG member's fault, not the people's, and GOG has very good, high standards that we want to see continue. Please look into this.
Unfortunately we cannot extend the sale but if you write to our support in the next 48 hours (that is until 10:00 AM GMT on Thursday, August 21) and put "Sacred 2 Discount" in the title of the ticket we will gladly provide you with the discount you have missed out on. Apologies once again.
