Free Mars, or die trying!

Red Faction, a critically acclaimed and extremely revolutionary *wink* first-person shooter with destructible terrain and a close-range hard Sci-Fi setting, is available 70% off on GOG.com, as a part of our Red Faction 1+2 Bundle deal. That's only $2.99 for the first 72 hours!

You are Parker, a weary miner who works for the corrupt Ultor Corporation. You reside on Mars, sometime in the future, and when a plague spreads through the mining community, some of the Ultor employees uncover a massive conspiracy. Thus ensues a battle by a group of lowly workers, provoked to uprise by your own actions and to expose the deadly experiments Ultor has unleashed onto its work force. History will judge you. Make sure your faction wins, so its your people who get to write the history books.

Red Faction was a very big leap forward in the FPS genre. It introduced many new technical features such as location-based damage system, real-time skeletal deformation, advanced physics simulation, destructible environment and more. The unprecedented (at the time) interaction with the environment creates a very strong feeling of immersion that is very impressive even by today's standards. With an engaging story to tell, a unique set of features such as location-based damage system, real-time skeletal deformation, operational land, sea, and air vehicles, advanced physics simulation, and destructible environment, it's safe to say the game well deserved all the critical acclaim it got.

Play your part in the history of Mars in Red Faction, for only $2.99 on GOG.com. The special 70% off release bundle offer lasts only until Friday, February 14, at 10:59AM GMT. The games are also available separately, 60% off.
Concerning this wonderful GOG release, is split screen multiplayer (or any multiplayer at atll) available?

No split screen. LAN multiplayer is available, though.

Wait, as the rights to the THQ stuff were split between at least Nordic and Deep Silver, how did you know that Nordic even HAD that one? Is there a list somewhere of what went where or were you just fishing?
Cheers!

There were a number of news outlets around that time that were also reporting where the THQ titles ended up. I know the Saints Row series went to Deep Silver, Homeworld went to Gearbox, and I forget where anything else ended up.
