Prince of Persia: Warrior Within, the dark and bloody sequel to Prince of Persia: The Sands of TIme, is now available on GOG.com for only $9.99!

Six years passed since the prince first wielded the Dagger of Time. Our hero finds himself haunted by a deadly curse and his only chance of survival lies on an ominous island where the tides of time can be turned and everything that happened can be averted. The quest that lies before the prince demands ruthless action, for in order to defeat the greatest of monsters one has to become a monster oneself. The prince needs to unleash his inner beast to overcome the undead hordes blocking his way.

Prince of Persia: Warrior Within is more combat-oriented than its predecessor. The game brings new free-form fighting mechanics and an arsenal of fearsome weapons into the mix. The tone of the game is now much darker, mature, and violent. This doesn’t mean that puzzles and platforms are missing--you will still find plenty of them in the non-linear gameworld--but the prince himself becomes more of a fighter than a platform-jumping, puzzle-solving thinker. With Prince of Persia: Warrior Within, the series reached maturity and became one of the all time favorites for the action genre fans, while still staying true to its platformer roots.

See the prince in his merciless incarnation, DRM-free and bundled with soundtrack and 74 artworks for only $9.99 now.

gameon: Fair enough. I dont understand why digital versions are more expensive than retail though.
It's called "clearance pricing"; for them, holding the games in storage in a warehouse costs more than selling them to you at a loss does. This is not what happens in digital delivery, since we have no warehouse.

I swear I wrote "seven" and corrected it to "six" after re-checking. Damn you, Wikipedia! :-)

VIPERs: I'd very much prefer old games then new ones like this.
This game is old enough to be going to school; it's old enough to have written minuets. It's old enough to beat several dozen people at chess simultaneously. It's old enough that the "Extreme Gaming PC' of the time it was released is less powerful than many phones people carry around in their pockets today.

It's an old game, trust me. It just may make you feel old to think about it. ;)

81RED: Installer is messed up - claims all three installerfiles are corrupted failing the integrity check.
We have top men looking into this at this moment.

TOP MEN.

wolfsite: Yes, I definitely feel old now.
I remember similar situation. At my first day at GOG my supervisor told me that I will test Fallout. My first reaction - "wait! it is not an old game! I remember I was playing it when it first come out!" Then they asked me about Fallout release date... Suddenly I felt, well, old... :(

kalirion: Do today's phones really have graphics hardware more powerful than a 3.4GHz P4 w/ 6800GT?
Graphics card? Maybe not. Processor and RAM, though? Definitely.

Aditya_Iyer: it is seven :)
Whoah! When a JEDI WITCHER says it's seven, then it is seven, even if Wikipedia, Encyclopedia Britannica, European Parliament and my mom disagree! ;-)
