If you can't find your homeworld, set course for the Off-World Resource Base.

O.R.B. Off-World Resource Base, a space strategy with epic three-dimensional combat and a huge dynamic universe, is available right now for only $5.99.

Harmony versus adversity. Egalitarianism versus individualism. Democracy versus discipline. Science versus strength. Seeking wisdom versus raw power. Alyssians versus Malus. Both races believed themselves to be the rightful rulers of the universe but soon discovered they were not alone. One will prevail. One will relent. Wisdom versus power--choose your side and fight.

O.R.B. Off-World Resource Base will definitely interest all space explorers with a tasteful fusion of RTS and space exploration. Your job is simple: find resources, conduct research, create spaceships (preferably huge). Discover planets, moon, asteroid belts, debris fields. After you're done with campaigns, script your own scenarios in the editor. Even ship logos are customizable! Decent space strategies are rare, and usually just copy and repeat other games. When you hear 'space strategy' you immediately think 'Homeworld' and O.R.B. might appear to you as a clone, but it's something else. Not entirely else, but different and enjoyable, and after playing you will dream both of these games had a digital downloadable baby.

For now, we invite you to download O.R.B. Off-World Resource Base from GOG.com for only $5.99 and space out!

JMich: My RSS feed claims Avernum was today's first release (498) and O.R.B. was today's second release (499). Thus the next release contains "Booby traps. Booby." or something like that, thus waiting for it.

TheEnigmaticT: Pulled from the script for TWoG s2e01:

"We have a very special release coming for our 500th game next week. Well, it's not a platformer but you'll need to keep a close eye on all of the BOOBIE traps. BOOBIE. Traps. I think you get the idea."

I just noticed that I apparently misspelled "booby." Can you tell when you hear me read it? :P
I'm guessing Leisure Suit Larry since only Al Lowe would (and did!) take "booby trap" and make it perversely-literal.
GOG needs a OC Pony

Boobs are a sort of orb aren't they?

Wishted btw. I already have a massive backlog and GOG keeps throwing logs on the fire. :D

Strategy First huh

How does it stack up to say Disciples 2 by same company?

What's with the terrible broken English and worse salesman (or even, writing) skills. The above paragraph strikes me as extremely weird and does not inspire much confidence in this game. Not really tempted to check it out, now.

It strikes me as extremely weird that you would register just to say that the paragraph you quoted in the quote above strikes you as extremely weird and doesn't inspire much confidence to check it out now.
I remember this game. If I recall, they rushed it out to beat Haegmonia. The forums on both games were on fire with each of the calling names and spamming each other. Good times.

I only read those write ups when it's a for a game release that interests me, so i didn't know that it was poorly written.

I'm sure their staff do their best, but it seems as if it was written by someone who doesn't use English as their main language.
Good release.
