Sci-Fi RTS, revisited.

Meridian: New World, a mix of classic real time strategy and role playing elements, set in a beautiful 3D science fiction setting, is available 20% off on GOG.com. That's $11.99 for the first week.

Meridian: New World offers countless options to devise your own strategy, including various equipment options for your units and special abilities for you to rely upon. Use your abilities anywhere on the battlefield and turn the tide of battle by weakening the enemy troops. Alternatively take the covert approach and sabotage the enemy power supply to shut down their production. You can rely entirely on researching superior weapons or special abilities. Or you can risk building a large economy, constructing a massive army from your enormous resources. The strategy you use and how many troops you sacrifice to reach your goal will influence the attitude of your crew towards you. Are you ready to shape the history of galactic colonization?

If you want to see what a solitary talented game dev can do and you're in the mood for some strategic challenge, make sure to pick up Meridian: New World for only $11.99 on GOG.com. The 20% off special release discount will last until Friday, October 3, at 2:59PM GMT.

Niggles: Wait what crap. I never got the chance to download the bonuses what the hell.

I meant to play

ShadowWulfe: Bonuses have been pulled before from existing shelf, never the game (presumably that's where a line is drawn), but yeah damn.
Pretty slack of the devs for pulling that kind of stunt even if it was only a bonus.

Niggles:
The forum post said by publisher request, so hopefully that means the devs can be excused of that bit of insanity.
yeah but to pull a bonus on a purchase actually made?. thats slack

Unfortunately, not the first time.

Wonder why GOG never warns people any bonuses are being removed to give people a chance to download them before they are *silently* pulled?.

Maybe because they aren't warned themselves? Who knows.
I watched the trailer and seems like they hired the voice-over from "Honest Trailers". Well done :)
Great release. Well done!
I was wondering why here the soundtrack was a bonus when on Steam you have to pay extra (and apperantly for HD-cutscene - what the hell?)
I was very sympathetic to the game since it as made my only one person. But that just seems like a dick move. Not sure if the developer is to blame, bur rather the publisher. Or the developer for signing a contract that was not benificial to him.
Game page has been updated to not show XP support now. In that case I'll just wait for a special since I have it on a humble purchase anyway and I'm still running that dinosaur Win XP.

Matruchus: This game is made by one person and is more or less like a mix between Starcraft and C&C
Nope. It's just a marketing trick to generate more hype for the game. :) The guy mentioned it on a hungarian dev forum.

Btw, the game itself is not bad, it's not a small feat from a few people either. But it feels too generic in almost every way.
