Live the legend and save your soul.

Lands of Lore 3, the final chapter in Westwood's groundbreaking RPG trilogy, is now available on GOG.com for only $5.99.

A demonic force has been unleashed upon the land of Gladstone, and your family was the first to suffer its wrath. Not only have you been robbed of your very soul and lost your father and step brothers, but to make things worse you are held responsible for their gruesome murder. You can go ahead and try to explain that a pack of ghastly hounds from another dimension devoured them. Yeah, like that will work. Seems that the only reasonable way to go is to win the support of the guilds, become a champion of the people, protect the realm from interdimensional corruption, and defeat the ultimate embodiment of evil. That totally seems easier.

Lands of Lore 3 delivers one of the most unique and vast worlds ever seen in PC RPGs. You will roam it freely, choosing your own battles and deciding on the development of your character's attributes. You can become a magician, rogue, fighter, cleric, or maybe a little bit of each, and practice the skills associated with your chosen class. As you progress towards your destiny, you will face a diverse ensemble of enemies, wield a vast selection of weapons, traverse enormous territories, and interact with innumerable NPCs.

So, future hero of Gladstone, what are you waiting for? Muster up your courage and step into the Lands of Lore. Lands of Lore 3, that is, for only $5.99 on GOG.com.

gameon: Not if it's an intel integrated graphics card.

RafaelLopez: I play pretty much any game in an Intel integrated graphics card these days, except the newest, and there're no new games here except the indies, and they don't count. I'm pretty sure I can play a graphic-intensive Ultima IX on my laptop (but I'll have to see and make sure). Lands of Lore 3 on the other hand is a typical 90s game, should work fine.
I was thinking that an intel integrated chip would struggle with Alan Wake, Far Cry 2, Witcher 2 and Riddick dark athena. All on GOG.

A lot of games here do not work on my shity Intel graphics card laptop. It even has trouble playing Deus Ex.
Hey GOG! I see what you did there!
You released this awesome game to distract us from the horribleness that is Ultima 9!
Not that I have a problem with that, I'm just saying...

I can't test myself now but I'm assuming you guys are trying to run the games at high quality. Games are also playable in lower than high, you know.

About Riddick and Witcher 2 I don't know, Witcher 1 is GPU-intensive even in today's machines. A friend of mine managed Elder Scrolls: Oblivion though. The biggest problem is sometimes getting the game to even try to run: some games halt at detecting an Intel card and return an error until you install some third party app to fake and pretend your card is an AMD or GeForce.

Well it seems here: http://www.xbitlabs.com/articles/graphics/display/intel-hd-graphics-4000-2500_6.html#sect2

Far Cry 2 will run ok on an intel HD4000 chip. But that's like the latest thing. I thought you said "crappy laptop".

Well, for the record, I was talking about those older Core 2 Duos GPUs.

Anyway, I think the bottom line is, someone must actually test the game on a shitty laptop to know for sure :)

Edit: and here's what I was talking about:
Oblivion choppy but running on GMA 945: http://youtu.be/pnrPJDyixfg

Woo!! Another great Westwood release. Now grease their palms a little so we can get the Kyrandia Trilogy. CD-ROM "talkie" versions if possible. Point and click adventure games are one of the genre's i miss the most in the modern gaming world. That and good old school platformers.
