Wurzelkraft: That's valid for about a year. IIRC my code expires on September 15th 2015.

edit: Sep. 22nd actually
That's a bit of a relief, actually. Thanks very much!

RichardHallas: Wondering about that. I'm a Mac user and have the Mac version. Will this be coming to Mac in due course? (It's always rather annoying to see 'Windows only', especially on games that are known to have Mac editions – either as 'base' versions without expansions, or from sources other than GOG.)

CrowTRobo: According to the developer on this Steam forum post, the answer to a Mac/Linux version is .... "Maybe": http://steamcommunity.com/app/275390/discussions/0/35221031780547110/

While I own the Gold edition on GOG, I haven't even played it yet. The entire game will be extra content for me then, no need for any more.
You Better check out my Site (www.paulthetall.com) I ported this game just now for Mac. Works native Windows.
Honestly, this just feels like a cheap trick to screw over people who want to buy the DLC on sale.

I like Guacamelee, but I already paid for it twice (here and in a Humble Bundle). If they're going to hold the DLC ransom with a "sales are relative to the 'must buy another license' price" trick, I'm going to play one of the other 1250+ DRM-free digital downloads I own, such as Giana Sisters: Twisted Dreams.

(Or maybe dig out my old Mario All-Stars and Mario World carts and play some classic SNES platformers)

madhair60: As someone who owns both versions of the game (on another service), I think the Super Turbo etc is a significant step up. The game is much longer, has been extensively rebalanced, with new secrets and content even in the previously extant areas.

Complaints are, of course, valid, but this is a good buy in my opinion.
It is rebalanced but I think to the wrong side. The game has becomne much more difficult with unfair and too much enemies and you can really see that the new areas weren't there before because they stick out.
