SCPM: Since Crimzon Clover WI is on its way here I was hoping that meant we'd see this game or Ether Vapor Remaster. :) Also, the number of games in the catalog went up by 2, so I guess there's another release imminent?
Sweet! I love that we are starting to see more Japanes doujin games available to Western audiences. I already picked up Astebreed from the Humble Bundle, but I will gladly wait for Crimzon Clover to reach GOG and buy it when it is released.
Oh now this is a release I can get behind! I love me some arcade hori shmupping.

I hope gog can acquire Sine Mora one of these days too.
To give you some insight:

The game itself plays really well. The balance is usually pretty good, except for the final boss. Even on easy he's just too hard. I still can't beat him after hundreds of tries, even though I can play through the whole game until the final boss without losing a single life by now.

The game only has Japanese Audio and that is the biggest flaw of the game. It's especially bad because even though the game has subtitles, they are displayed while the game keeps moving and it is literary impossible to both dodge bullets and read the subtitles. That ruins the game. English audio would have been a must for this one.

If you don't care about story, though, you can just switch it off.
Well, I hope everyone who bought this have at least downloaded the goodies. It was pointed out, and I've just noticed myself that the avatars, the wallpapers and soundtrack are gone. The only thing left is the Astebreed prototype. Could be a glitch, but I doubt it as the game card also only mentions the prototype as a goodie now. Hopefully the goody removal is only temporary.
I'm playing it right now. It's short, but absolutely fun.

Chapter 5 boss is too strong for me. Need more practice.

EDIT: OMG! The final boss! Shit just got real. I'm not worthy.

Great game, but it's too damn short. :\

Also, why did GOG removed the OST?
This game demonstrates everything that is wrong with shoot-em-up developers. Now arcade shmups have had that "on rails" movie on a platform thing long before sin and punishment, but this game demonstrates the huge dearth of creativity thats originally killed off shmups and drove them to niche status.

That being said, the graphics are great, the gameplay is pretty meh, and the story is just a giant wtf.

All that said, I appreciate the time and work that went into this game, this game is overwhelming evidence that games cost too much to produce and take too much time to make at modern graphics expectations.
