Divine Divinity, without a doubt.

Ultima 7 (haven't touched it yet)
...
Do touch it :)

You most likely won't be as impressed as if you had played it 20 years ago but you owe it to yourself to at least try this classic, even just for the history of gaming value alone.

eVinceW21: Thing is if I were to help myself to Divine or Beyond the question is ... which one?
My understanding is that Divine Divinity is the better of the two... (Beyond was disliked by many, myself included.)

eVinceW21: Haven't played the first Witcher. Played Assassins. Absolutely *love* it!
Well, there's your answer. Play the first Witcher. It's better than the second one. Not in the graphics department obviously, but I think the story is better, it has a more original "feel" to it than the sequels kind of generic dark fantasy feel, the skills are more diverse and there is more of them, and the gameplay is more like that of a proper RPG, while the sequel plays more like an action game. I still like the second one, but he first one is the way better, one of the best RPG's I ever played.

Unfortunately if I could have played The Witcher by now, I would have. (pcs not up to spec)

Crosmando: I wouldn't even bother with modules either, NWN combat/engine/gameplay is just so terrible that even if you're playing a decent module the game will still infuriate you.
I disagree, i liked the combat/gameplay of NwN 1. NwN 2 gameplay/combat though was infuriating to use, especially the camera angle and terrible npc companion combat AI.

Although once you get past the gameplay flaws NwN 2 has some pretty good singleplayer campaigns. While everyone says Mask of the Betrayer is the best story-wise, i liked Storm of Zehir better. Its campaign is more like Icewind Dale where you can choose your own party at the start .

(I also was never much of a fan of the spirit eater mechanics in the MotB campaign.)
