I'd say this is excellent evidence that in the right hands, the Kinect can be just as immersive as a regular controller.

The Kinect is a really powerful piece of hardware, and has a lot of potential. I've actually been working on a robot that uses it for a sensor suite. Even though some people look down on it, motion control is becoming a viable control scheme. The problem now is that a lot of developers are still figuring it out, and using it in stupid ways (1st/2nd Gen Wii games are the best example of this problem)

It's nice people are looking at this technology and thinking "games". Someone mentioned "work" and was quickly put down by an angry mob who are less than impressed at using all their available muscles to make graphs and pie charts.
