I wasn't using the site last year at the time so I'm wondering what the Christmas sales are like on GOG. Reason being my wishlist has reached a pretty decent size and I'm chopping away at it as my budget permits. However I might just hold off and wait until closer to Christmas if there is going to be a week or 2 week long sale. Man I love this site!

What are your top 5 games you would like to buy/on your wishlist for Christmas this year?

You usually get about 50% off almost everything. And then you get bundle deals that are stellar.

You can expect all of the D&D games for 80%(ish) off.
Might and Magic games for 80% off.
Quest for Glory and Kings Quest and Space Quest for 80% off.

And then there will be odd-ball groupings like "FPSes of the 90's" or "Sneaky Rogue Games" or something like that w/ big discounts.

If you already own a game from a bundle, you don't have to buy it again. So if game A, B and C are on sale for 80% off and each costs $10 but you already own game B, then you can pick up A and C for 80% off together. The total advertised would be $6, but you would only have to pay $4.
It will also last a bit over 2 weeks.
Oh, another thing. You usually get one or two bundles per 24 hours. But on one day (and sometimes the last day), they will offer all of the bundles all at once. That's usually the best day to shop so you can figure out exactly what you want, what you have the money for and what you'll be most likely to play.
Last year they also did the Daily Personal Deals.

The very first personal deal I got was...
... Fallout 2. I laughed and got disappointed when I first saw it. On hindsight, maybe I should have gone for it.

If it had pupped up in mine, I'd have definitely gotten it.
Also note that there *may* be an Insomnia sale (or some other big event, but we're just guessing) before the Winter Sale, which is another great time to load up on very cheap games from the GOG catalog.
