After finally having a nvidia graphics card, the games does not only look a lot better, but it also runs perfectly for me now. Just for one little problem. Sometimes, when I enter a new area, or reload a savegame in the current area, the game stutters horribly for a few seconds. I need to alt tab in and out to get it running fluently again. There seems to be no indication when this happens. Sometimes I leave for the wasteland and it is fluent from the getgo, sometimes it takes ca. 10 seconds to "load".

Any idea how to avoid this, or what is causing this? Neither the Steam forums nor Google could help me.
I can't really help you since I haven't played the game myself yet even though I own it, but I did hear that the game had some micro-stutter on lower resolutions so you could try changing it to a higher one depending on where it's at now.

Finished Rage a week or so ago. The open-world sections were decent, but not terribly enthralling, but the gunplay was pretty much absolutely perfect. Though the end was a little lacklustre.
