I've always liked Staley's lyrical style, and yes it definitely shows a certain view of life, but that's why I liked it, it seemed raw and and unpolished. Not to mention his great sawtooth voice :D Would be nice to hear Jerry Cantrells guitarwork at this years Roskilde Festival, and to hear how they've changed as a band.
