I am interesting in playing Might and Magic series but I'm unsure which one to start off with since there's 8 in the series.

I have strong interest in open roaming free form world so I'd like to play something from this series.

So which one should I start off with and why?

Personally id say M&M 6, for no other reason than its where I started and where i spent the most time

However low you can go until the graphics force you to flee.
