1. can I gift a game I have NOT played or installed yet to someone else?
2. at point of purchase, what is the difference in your account between checking the "this is a gift" checkbox and not?
3. can I do like on Steam and just purchase everything as a "gift" and then gift it to myself if I decide to play it later instead of give it away?
4. is there a place on the GoG website where I can find the answers to these kinds of questions without having to post in a forum and hope I get an intelligent answer?

Thanks..

1. Yes. Sorry, no, I misunderstood the question. I thought you meant if you have to have a game yourself in order to be able to buy it as a gift for someone else. No, if you have already added a game to your account, you cannot gift it to someone else.
2. If you purchase the game for yourself, it will be added to your account immediately. If you purchase it as a gift, a gift code will be sent to the email address you type in. If this is your own email address, the code will be sent to you.
3. Yes, you can redeem a gift code you have bought yourself.
4. The link triock posted. It can also be found by clicking "Support" in the menu, and then clicking "Website FAQ" on the support page.

1. No, you can't give away games from your account .
2.If you check "this is a gift", you'll receive a code for the game that you can pass along, as opposed to having the game added to your account.
3.Yes.
4.The forum will do just fine.

1) No, though you may wish to contact support.
2) Buying as a gift gives you a gift code, not doing so adds it to your library
3) Almost. The difference is that buying as a gift on GOG gives a single code containing all the games, and anyone redeeming said code will redeem only the games he doesn't have. So if you buy Far Cry and Far Cry 2 as a gift (through 1 purchase) and give the code to someone who already owns Far Cry, he will redeem Far Cry 2 and Far Cry will remain available in the code.
4) There is a FAQ, but I'm not sure if it covers those subjects or not. Forums is for fast answers, support is for official ones.
