Hello everyone, I had a question for you.

I really wish GOG would include this information with its games, but I tend not to buy games that don't have a windowed mode, because I pretty much can't play them for any length of time. I have my reasons and I'm sure you're not that interested in them, so I'll just go ahead and ask about the following games:

Baldur's Gate: The Original Saga
Lionheart: Legacy of the Crusader
Freedom Force vs the 3rd Reich
Arcanum
Fallout 1 and 2
Planescape: Torment

Are these playable in windowed mode? I'm currently running Windows 7 64-bit.

I appreciate your help. Thank you!

Baldur's Gate and Planescape, yes. All the Infinity Engine games work great windowed. Alt-Enter to switch between windowed and fullscreen in-game.

Arcanum, yes. Just add the -window command line parameter in the start menu/desktop shortcut.

Freedom Force, not so much - older 3D games tend not to do windowed mode well.

Fallout 1 and 2, no, unfortunately. No windowed mode.

Lionheart, no idea, but I suspect it probably works with a command line parameter like Arcanum. Beyond the first act, though, that game's not even worth your time.
Thanks! I hope others can answer about Lionheart perhaps, so I'll leave this open for the moment.

That's a shame about Fallout, they looked interesting.

I rather liked Lionheart when I played it some years ago, but for whatever reason I never did complete it. The nostalgia would certainly factor into it, if it were available in windowed. But if it isn't, well, that's one memory lane I guess I won't be going down!

Thanks again.
