DieRuhe: Peanut butter and hot dogs. Better in a bun, but would work on bread, I guess.
Have you ever tried peanut chicken from an oriental restaurant? That's kinda how I'm imagining your thing to be honest. Still, Monty Christo is apparently popular so maybe it'll..... I'm still skeptical.

Oh yea, peanut chicken is good.

I've never tried jelly on a hot dog. To me that seems gross. :-) But you know, just a good hot dog on a nice soft bun, and the peanut butter applied while the dog is still hot so it melts a bit. Seems like an odd combo, I know, but it works.

Peanut chicken repulsed me quite a bit last time I tried it. And I can't imagine beef (Possibly chicken, possibly pork. I prefer the kosher dogs.) with peanut butter is much better.
This is my standard 'pack lunch' setup:
-regular white bread from Sainsbury's, two slices (the only kind of bread readily available in the UK)
-smear in Boursin (they also have a garlic variety if that floats your boat)
-add in tomatoes (get those small ones, slice in half)
-add in lettuce
-two-three slices of ham. Quality of the ham is the key here.
-two slices of cheese. Either Leerdammer or Edam.
-add in salad leaves and a bit of rosemary
e: I'm missing something here but I cannot simply remember the name of the ingredient right now.
Also, add in salt and black pepper.

Now if you'd consider going to Subway, here's the guide to the ultimate sub:
Foot long Hearty Italian Subway Melt.
Double bacon, triple cheese (American), toasted.
Add in olives (lots), pickles, red onions, jalapenos (lots), some sweet corn.

Enjoy!

Chicken Cordon 'Bleu'
- White roll, sesame seed if possible
- Sharp cheddar cheese (white)
- Grilled chicken, shredded, seasoned with black pepper
- Thinly cut, small smoked ham slices
- Melted, crumbled Gorgonzola cheese spread throughout
- Should be eaten hot, with cheese melty and delicious
Personally, I actually really liked the Elvis sandwich.

- 2 slices of toast
- Peanut butter
- Sliced banana
- 3 or 4 strips of bacon
- (optional) Honey

I also think that the Fool's Gold Loaf sounds interesting, but I've never sat down and had one.

Oh, and Angus burgers with blue cheese and bacon are fantastic.
wpegg,

I am going to share with you a sandwich that I thoroughly enjoyed as a child. I hope you have not yet tried it because it will just be so much cooler if this is your first time.

It's simply two slices of bread, white or wholemeal, with potato crisps/chips (don't know if you're from the UK or elsewhere) in the middle. I used to love putting Cheese and Onion chips in the middle. Put enough in the middle so it's about 3-4 cms thick. Remember to hold the sandwich tight.

Now bite. Crunch. Chew. Chew. Dwell in heaven.

You can put a slice of cheese if you wish or I guess put your favourite spreads on either slice before putting all those chips in.

Have fun mate!

PS: I wish I could be a child again and eat a million of these and not worry about the kilojoules etc :-) Darn adulthood!

Peanuts in a meal like that do tend to taste differently, at least to me. Pb on a hot dog doesn't alter the taste. But hey, it's just one of those things. Maybe you could try it one day, and you'll either love it or hate it. :-)
