Adokat: Well, right now I'm counting on them either not noticing it and shipping anyways, deciding to honor the price, or maybe that it was intentional for some weird reason. I mean, if it does ship, I'll definitely buy PS3 games and probably some blu-rays, so they'd benefit from it in some way. I definitely don't want to look at this from a realistic perspective-after all, the whole thing is a little unrealistic to begin with, lol.

orcishgamer: They noticed, they took it down. And no, it wasn't intentional, anything like that would have been advertised as a gimmick. Though Lowe's did have a 300 dollar Kitchen Aid for 40 bucks during the holidays, so these deals do happen, I'm fairly certain this wasn't one of them.
Oh come on, we all know that. Deosn't mean you have to be such a Debbie Downer about it though. I'm just trying to have some fun with this.

Wraith: GOOD DAY SIR

Also, when I bought Left 4 Dead 2 at Best Buy last year following a post-holiday sale, we went in the day after it ended, and they still had the signage up for the sales. I saw Left 4 Dead 2 for $20. Since it was still $50 everywhere, I figured "Awesome deal" I get home and see they charged me $49.99 on the receipt, so I drove back. I showed them the game, the receipt, and I told them to check the signage: sure enough, there it was, $20.

EDIT: AHA! Legalese!

Please note that your Order Acknowledgement means that your order request has been received; it does not mean that your order has been shipped or that the price of an item has been confirmed.

Despite our best efforts, a small number of the items on our Web site may be mispriced. As part of our shipping procedures, we verify price before an item is shipped out.

If an item’s correct price is lower than our stated price, we charge the lower amount and ship you the item.

If an item’s correct price is higher than our stated price we will cancel your order and notify you of such cancellation via email.

TheCheese33: That legalese for Target or Amazon?
That would be on Target's page.
Remember the only legalese that applies is whatever the Target legalese is. Amazon.com have no say in this mater. As such, whatever description under the amazon listing means absolutely nothing either.

http://www.amazon.com/gp/help/customer/display.html?nodeId=541260

All amazon offers is reinbursement under their a-z guarantee should someone not receive their item, they get the wrong item but return it and the seller refuses to issue a refund.

We are sorry, but we are unable to offer you either of these items at this time and have canceled your order. Your credit card was not charged.
We sincerely regret this inconvenience.

Well what did anyone honsetly expect. People will whine for a week that Target screwed them for some odd reason despite the fact you'd be screwing them by ordering multiple consoles at that price but in any event, Target most likely don't have any 60GB PS3's lying around to ship out anyway.

Thanks to loopholes U.S. law that say that you don't have to take responsibility for pricing mistakes, a lot of retailers are starting to do this. Advertise a product at a very low price, then say "LOL just kidding but thanks for all the free advertising".

What they are doing is actually illegal in many countries, but here in the U.S., we let retailers get away with it.

I know that. The "people" I was referring too was directed at non gog members. Those people's whining is in full swing already.
