From this week's promo titles, my pesonal recommendation is Divine Divinity.
This game is a very atmospheric hack'n'slash RPG, complete with a good, very enjoyable soundtrack. While it bears all the trademarks of its kind (kill monsters, collect and sell/keep loot, gain experience, rinse and repeat), it is somewhat unique in its genre, as the three playable characters are only different at the start; after that, you can pick any skill from the tree of any path. Thus, if you want to build a giant sword-wileding, heavily armored mage or a lightning-hurling berserker warrior, now's your chance ;-).
The learning curve itself is not very steep, but you'd better be on the lookout, for even the first enemies you encounter can be deadly due to your lack of good equipment and skills. Also, the first dungeon can get very boring, very quick, but it's only a few levels, and after that, you can move out into the REAL word of Divinity.
As an "extra", the game has some good, light-hearted, smile-inducing humour, which is a really nice touch.
All in all, Divine Divinity is a thoroughly enjoyable game, which is quite recommended to ANYONE who likes ARPGs in general.
