I just subconsciously translate "app" to "application" in all cases - even for phones and handheld computers - since that's what it's an abbreviation for (and when talking about them, I also say "application", "program", "software", or, when appropriate, "game"). These games are, certainly, applications - that they're not intended for productivity has little meaning.
