Does anyone know of any prepaid cards available here in the U.S. that you can use here on GOG? My bank doesn't allow international transactions, most prepaid cards I find are restricted to only transactions in the United States, and I'd prefer not to keep bugging my friends to have them buy me games on here. The only one I know of that works is the Vanilla MasterCard, but I can't find that anywhere.
Those Visa ones seem to work.

Fire your bank or call up and ask for a one week exception for the Christmas sale (mine will grant me a risk exception when I call and ask, I don't need it for GOG but payments for some indie places go through all kinds of strange places).

Really? I tried using a Visa prepaid here on March and it kept declining it. I'll see what I can do about the one week exception though orcish.

Well, specifically, i use a Visa pre-paid debit/money card from Wal-mart. If you want to try that, i know there's GOT to be a Wal-mart near you..lol. It really shouldn't make a difference. seriously though..never had a problem on here and i have brought over 200 games

Hm.

I got a walmart visa gift card last year for christmas, and I was looking at the legalese (since I heard about the problems in a previous topic about this, and wanted to be sure before buying one if I wanted to use it for GOG sales) and saw that it was only good for purchases within the united states.

Well, my card is a reloadable pre-paid debit card. I go to Wal-mart with cash in hand, lay it down on the counter, tell them how much i want on my card, the zip it through the reader. BAM! money is on card...I can use it for almost ANY internet purchance, including my favorite DRM-free gaming website...i'm not sure why gift cards don't do the same, but it's REALLY easy to get the same card i have

Hmm, it's the Walmart MoneyCard right? I've heard of it, but I've never used it. I'll try and fine one to use on here, Thanks!

Yep - the Walmart MoneyCard works great for all of my online purchases [helps me keep myself mostly restrained during sales periods too ;)]. I have used it 100% ok here, Steam, Direct2Drive, GamersGate, and every other site I have made transactions with.

Be aware, however, of the 3.00 per month maintenance fee [it is only charged if you have money on the card, it will not drive your card into negative balances]. I deal with it by making sure I always have a buffer of at least 3.00 if not more.

If your local WalMart is a bit of a drive then you can look up if there are any sources closer to you that sell GreenDot MoneyPaks - they are cards that can be used to refill your cash card [via the money card internet account page]; they can also be used to add funds to PayPal and other services. Around me there are some local gas stations [~2 minutes away] that sell the MoneyPaks, which beats ~30 minutes to go to the local walmart.

Edit: The greendot moneypak is to refill the cash card only - you still have to make the trek to your local walmart to pick up the money card :) [just clarifying]
