Welcome to LifeNET social network. Cthulhu wants to be your friend.

Magrunner: Dark Pulse, an intriguing action puzzler mixing physics-based challenges with an involving Sci-Fi story and some Cthulhu mythos for good measure, is available 15% off for pre-orders on GOG.com. That's only $16.99 until Thursday, June 20, at 9:59AM GMT, when the game is expected to arrive.

It all began with Mr. Gruckezber and his tremendously popular LifeNET social network. The total addiction of millions turned into a huge commercial success and laid the foundation of the international giant--the Gruckezber corporation. The network gained importance over the years, becoming the world's default communication system and networking platform. Gruckezber's ambitions didn't stop at that. Around the year 2050 the Gruckezber Magtech deep space research and exploration program was unveiled. You've been selected to test the revolutionary Magtech Glove device but what began as scientific research soon transforms into a perilous journey, as you're suddenly transported to a parallel dimension. A dimension where ancient madness lurks beyond time.

Magrunner: Dark Pulse takes you on a fantastic adventure filled with brilliant physics-based puzzles, mysteries, risk, and breathtaking views. The magnetic mechanics behind the Magtech Glove are quite simple to understand, but not that easy to master. This allows for some very original and challenging level design, that goes perfectly with the game's twisted story. Splicing together ideas that seemingly don't have much in common, this game creates an amazing experience you won't soon forget. If you like your action/puzzles with a pinch of crazy and a whole lot of awesome, make sure not to miss this amazing upcoming title, that will put both your brains and your reflexes to a test!

Reserve your LifeNET account right now and prepare to jump right in the twisted futuristic world of Magrunner: Dark Pulse, for only $16.99 on GOG.com. The pre-order discount offer is available until approximately Thursday, June 20, at 9:59AM GMT.
If my laptop could run it at above a snail's pace, I'd be all over this. Next computer, I suppose.
GOG, are those screenshots actual screenshots, captured from gameplay? Because I'd be very disappointed if you're using pre-rendered images treated by artists by hand like you do (or used to) on Witcher 2...
"Windows XP / Vista / 7 / 8, AMD/Intel dual-core 2.4 GHz processor or higher, 2 GB RAM or more, Nvidia GeForce 8800/ATI Radeon HD 4800 3D graphics card with 256 MB VRAM compatible with DirectX 9.0c (Shader Model 3.0 support required), 4 GB HDD, DirectX 9.0c-compatible sound card, Mouse, Keyboard."

Requirements bit on the highside for a adventure/puzzle/platformer that looks portalike :P..
I just realized who developed this: FROGWARES.

... I had no idea they could do something that wasn't an adventure game!

Actually, it's developped by 3AM Games, a studio belonging to Frogwares, focusing on "riskier" projects.
I searched the internet but couldn't figure out where those guys are from: French? Irish? Ukrainian? Klingon?

HypersomniacLive: It was crowdfunded last summer on Gamesplanet Lab:
Magrunner: Dark Pulse - A First Person Puzzler set in the eerie universe of HP Lovecraft

Crosmando: Huh what, over 100 grand on a site that isn't Kickstarter?
It was last summer, i.e. before "no Kickstarter - no backing".

According to their Ulule profile, they're based in Kiev.
Well now this just looks very cool!

More Focus games please, GOG. I don't trust their usual DRM practices, so the more of their games on here the better!

Ok, then somebody on the team is French, or they've hired a very good translator, because the French Ulule page is really well-writtten, idiomatic, with correct use of slang, etc.
That looks really cool ideed. I am so happy that gog is bringing in new games - that was truly smart move ( and good execution of course). I love the Expeditions: Conquistador! Hopefully one day you will have here Walking Dead from Telltale games (maybe around September - just before they release season 2...). Thanks guys!!
Looks kinda interesting, but it reminds me a bit of Quantum Conundrum so I'll wait till I can see more.

Yay, Space Channel 5!!!! ^^
Anybody see a world-famous book and a conundrum of it's creater's name?

Isn't it a mix of cgi cutscenes as well as actual play shots? I think most games have moved away from cgi but not unusual. The scenery looks similarly rendered as their other game Journey to the Center of the Earth.

Could be, but it just seems like "Photoshop renders". Which is always very misleading.

If those images are actual screenshots, the graphics are impressive, but I find it hard to believe.

G-Doc: That still leaves you with the word "Cthulhu", which IMHO is still pretty awesome ;-)

JMich: Off topic. Tell TET we'd like an E3 recap when he gets back. Or we'll introduce him to our friendly Cthulhu ;)
Did you ever get your Off Topic request filled? Was just dying wondering? (personal bias is no, no and chine).
