Get your virtual table-top ready for an adventure in Temeria!

The Witcher Adventure Game, the digital installment of the board game set in the dark fantasy realm of The Witcher, is available 10% off for pre-orders, for Windows and Mac OS X, on GOG.com. That's only $8.99 until November 27, when we expect the game to launch. If you were taking part in the beta-test program for this title, you get a special (non-stackable) 40% off discount, valid until December 27.

The Witcher Adventure Game takes players on a journey across the world of the Witcher as they assume the roles of four distinct characters known from the books and video games: Geralt of Rivia, monster slayer; Triss Merigold, cunning sorceress; Yarpen Zigrin, dwarven warrior; and Dandelion, roguish bard. Each character has unique skills and multiple ways of overcoming obstacles - the choice is yours: do you fight your way to victory, call on your charm or try your hand at diplomacy? It's the true spirit of board gaming brought straight to your computer screen. Set in the mature and brutal world of The Witcher the game features 4 unique heroes with different skills and approaches to problem solving. With clear, simple rules and intuitive mechanics, tons of quest cards allow players to tell a new tale every time they play. Look adventure in the eye in a world with which you'll fall in love!

Time to research all the good-luck spells and enchantments that work on virtual dice, as you prepare to launch your first campaign in The Witcher Adventure Game, for only $8.99 (or $5.99 if you were among the beta-testers!), on GOG.com. The special pre-order discount lasts until December 4, the expected day of the game's release. The 40% off special discount for beta-test participants remains valid one month after the game's release.

**$8.99 is the discounted price for this title in the US. Other prices will apply in different countries. If you end up paying more than than the US price, we will reimburse the difference from our own pocket, giving it back to you in store credit (this is what we call the "Fair Price Package").

Guybrush57: Didn't we hear of this a long time ago? Woohoo! It's here
Yeah but now it's the pre-order phase :)

JudasIscariot: Yeah but now it's the pre-order phase :)

Ganni1987: Will there be a Linux version in the future?
I have no idea, sorry :(

JudasIscariot: Yeah but now it's the pre-order phase :)

MrAlphaNumeric: So does the online Beta version turn into the full version on release or is a separate purchase required?
Separate purchase is required with the 40% discount which will make it $5.99.

edit: corrected the price.

PaterAlf: Can anyone confirm that it's $3.99 for US buyers. Would be heavy regional pricing, I have to pay $7.49 (including the 40% discount).
avatar
moonshineshadow: Yeah I am also seeing that price and honestly... I am a bit pissed since this is clearly not VAT and not some retail thing...

[edit]OK according to the news it is not 3.99 but 5.99, so Judas probably put in a wrong number :-)
Yes, I did put in a wrong number in my post. Sorry about that.

MrAlphaNumeric: I'm seeing £6.39 = $10.15 with the discount 9% (from £6.99) on the front page
and
£4.29 = $6.81 with 39% discount (from £6.99) on the game card page.

Where is this $3.99 you speak of?
Sorry, that was a miscalculation on my part :/

PaterAlf: So anothe regional priced game by CDPR. You blamed Namco Bandai for it the last time. What's your excuse for this game?
Well, I do know there will be a physical version of the board game itself coming out but as to whether that has any effect on the price of the digital version, I have no idea.

Alesh91: I have the beta but I am only getting a 10% discount on the store page. Is this a bug or is it caused by me playing only 3-4 hours of the beta version?
Please send us a Support ticket. You should be seeing the 40% discount since you were, as you say, a participant in the beta :)

MIK0: Can you gather some informations and be more specific please?
This thing is another huge setback for GOG credibility and recently you had more than you should.
I don't have and won't have that kind of information as it's way beyond me BUT you can ask this very question on the official board and thread for the game here:

Sorry but that's the best I can do :/

MarioFanaticXV: In the meantime, I'll continue loving my copy of StarCraft: The Board Game.
avatar
Ixamyakxim: AI long time ago I made the decision to pick up either Twilight Imperium 3rd or StarCraft. I went with TI3, thinking I'd go back and get StarCraft another time. Of course to this day you can grab a copy of TI3, but StarCraft is so out of print you have to sacrifice cats and dogs to the dark Blizzard gods and do terrible things at truckstops to get one.
Or just visit ebay :P

JudasIscariot: Or just visit ebay :P

Maighstir: Isn't that largely the same thing? Ebay, truckstop, sacrifice... I'm not seeing much of a difference, they all seem to relate closely to very shady business.
With ebay you don't have to leave your house :P

Besides, I buy on ebay all the time and I never had any problems but that's just my experience. YMMV and all that :)

Lexor: Just wanted to ask - is there any official info that game would not be released on November 27? Or, so far, everything is going fine and we should expect the release of that game at this date?
As far as I know the game's going to be released on the 27th as planned, barring "acts of God" and the like :)
