So finally I managed to take my hand on this game and...I'm hating it!
It's one of the worst and boring adventure game I ever played (and I played a LOT of ag).
In order to proceed you must click on EVERY single element of the screen, even if you think is useless.
During dialogue you must select the same option over and over, until the NPC begins to repeat the same line.I'm five hours into Act 1 but it really bothered me :\
Just to make sure: It's that earlier Kojima game that's being referenced in MGS1, right?

Yes,the one you can see the poster during the first time you meet Otacon.
BTW,an itneresting thing I found is that in this game Meryl made her first apparition. And yes,is the same Meryl of MGS1, foxhound member too.
Huh, never played the game but I watched this retrospective that RetrowareTV did. Seemed like a decent game.

This game is an acquired taste. It's not for everyone and at times feels more like an interactive book than a video game. But I think it also helps to be a big fan of Snatcher on the Sega CD, then you know what you are getting into.

I didn't play Snatcher,so this is my first experience with japanase adventure game.
Now I'm in Act 2 but, except for clicking on character, speaking with them, and click on background elements acquiring information is nothing else to do.
I've only done one shooting section during the prologue, and some practice on department but this game need more action or thing to do/puzzles to solve :\

It's a bloody awful game indeed, but a great pseudo-anime and story. I played through it without getting bored, but I was loving every piece of the story.

Kojima is usually a great story teller, but a terrible game maker. :P Even though some of his games are very very good.

I just gave up.On Act 2 while you must follow the biker during the highway section...it's impossible to pass it for me.And I'm playing with a mouse too.I managed to beat the first two section easily but on the third I pissed off during the first seconds of the section :\
Awful and boring game. When they give you some important and interesting informations, then you must suffer two hours of nothing :(
BTW I really love the MGS saga, but this game is a mess.

Yes, a very distinctive feature for japanese (interactive) adventures. Sometimes you must click on multiple items on multiple screens multiple times or even in a certain order to progress forward. It can be quite annoying sometimes, since the games give you little to no hints at what to do next, and you're looking for some minuscule text difference in a wall of it. So if you think you're looking at a loop of repeating text, you might just miss the important new piece.
