Today, I caved in and bought this game - five bucks, cant go wrong right?

And I haven't stopped lolling yet. Seriously, this game has it SO RIGHT. The dialogue and wit is incredible, and they actually have a decent AI.

I started off by whipping Strong Bad, which was exquisite - he stomped off angrily. Then it started becoming a duel between me and the smart-ass guy until Max pulled the rug under me and stole all my money.

His response:

"I'm going to buy a scepter with all this money. And wave it in front of your face for the rest of your life to remind you of this moment."

God DAMN, but this is the best five bucks I've spent in ages. Just that one game was worthy of a comedy stand up routine.... Looking forward to playing many more rounds against them.

One last thing: I LOVE the heavy and his fucking sandviches. Boy is he obsessed.

10/10 for presentation, humor and a fun game. Seriously worth it!
Get a blog.

In all seriousness this game is pretty funny - until the dialogue gets recycled and then you want to self harm.

Yeah, once you have heard most of the dialogue, it becomes kind of pointless. Happened to me after 2 hours or so.

What I find rather remarkable is how different I reacted to the four characters. I think Tycho was hilarious, Max, while not in top form, still amusing, the Heavy boring and Strongbad so annoying that I soon started to skip all of his lines.

For me, the best laugh of the game was Tycho's ode to giraffes. The voice acting really worked great there.
I'm really digging this game as well. I see how it could be better and I want it to be better. It would be nice if they recorded a lot more dialogue for a sequel. Also, it is sometimes off on the dialogue timing, which keeps it from feeling like you are really sitting around the table with these guys playing poker. Nevertheless, I love the game and feel I definitely got my five worth.

Did you try changing the tables? Max gets all out evil (well, more so) if you change for that imp table.
Yeah, nice games but at times has some serious bugs when comparing cards (how can one win with a pair of 7s over a pair of Queens is beyond me).

Played it enough to unlock the TF2 items (yes, I'm a whore) and get most of the achievements then uninstalled it.

Thanks again TheJoe for the gift!

That's pretty much what I did as well. Enjoyable 5 or 6 hours, but the dialog was starting to repeat and there are some weird betting glitches. Certainly don't regret dropping $4.99 on it, though. :)
Never saw any glitches...????

Maybe they've fixed more now? The betting and everything is perfect so far....

Here's what I'm talking about...

If I raise a certain amount of money, any subsequent re-raise for that round has to AT LEAST match that initial raise. Yet I kept seeing cases where one person would raise $1000, then someone else would re-raise $400 that round. Doesn't actually work that way.

Oh yeah THAT.

*shrugs* I kinda like it - for one thing it sort of suits the whole humor of the whole thing... It's a game that doesn't take itself seriously at all so. *shrugs*

I JUST WON THE WATCH! TAKE THAT STUPID HAIRED MAN!
