There's nothing wrong with a government that actually takes care of its people as all governments are built upon the consent of the people. However, the trouble is finding an ideal government that guarantees that the basic needs of its citizens are met such as protection from violence from within and without.

By the way, you and I live in Poland. Is our government a nanny government or is it a kleptocracy? Because I sure as hell don't see our Donald Duck Tusk doing anything but running a very long re-election campaign :D.

Well, in Poland some socialist scumbag before every election says "I will give a laptop to every child in school", and he gets around 15% every year.

Some other dude says every year "We will give you monies, guys!" And next year he rises the taxes. He gets 50% of the votes.

Some another guy says "Russian lasers killed my brother in Tupolew" and he gets around 30%.
People are stupid. Only several percentage of people understand how the economy works, from where benefits come from, etc etc. so political propaganda works.
Many people are afraid what would happen without government. Because they wouldn't know what to do unless someone told them.
And, for example, recently Belgium existed without a govt. for around half of year. And people were happy about the fact.

No kidding. People can't seem to remember that large govt is dangerous and has been shown to be throughout history. Now is not any different. If I want my kids to have a few vaccinations thats cool as long as they are independently verified to be safe. But the US leads the world in the most vaccinations, its like 26 now I think. Thats a heavy load on immune systems that are already compromised by industrial chemicals and other environmental toxins (including heavy antibiotic use).

This caring govt doesn't believe you have the right to know your food is genetically modified. A govt that has no problem dropping agent orange on villages, using depleted uranium bullets and averaging a major war every 20 years. Now it's like every 10 years or so and usually based upon lies and deceit. A govt entirely corrupted by big business influence, lobbyists and international banksters.

A govt large enough to take care of your every need is large enough to fuck you over hardcore. The people who cry tin foil hats need to read a damn history book before trying to attack and ridicule other peoples views. They are the ones who will gladly give up their guns to the govt and then cry when street mobs attack and they are defenseless. The more power you give to the govt the less you have and it has always been that way.

As someone who finds life in Sweden to be highly enjoyable, I'm going to have to respectfully disagree with you on most of your points in the third paragraph.
