Offline/LAN support, DRM Free, Multi-Language, Sharable Custom Commander, 64-bit Support
I saw the post on RPS about this earlier tonight and oh boy does it sound awesome. I've actually never played Total Annihilation, I missed it in terms of my age I think (and unlike something like Fallout or Deus Ex I never really stayed totally into RTS games) but the premise sounds pretty cool. And smashing a planet into another planet. Or smashing a moon into a planet! That sounds like awesome sauce.

I've only funded two Kickstarters, and only one game one (Wasteland 2), so maybe I'll go for this as well. I'm definitely keeping it on my radar.

Are you in luck! You can try SpringRTS (formerly TA Spring), in which people have tried to port/remake Total Annihilation under a new 3D graphics engine. To date there have been several attempts at this, each one given a different name.

Check it out.

Hey, Cave Dog was, like, a division by Humongous Entertainment way back when! Me Gusta.

Ooo... cool! I'm checking out the website now.
I asked some questions.

1. Is gog.com a potential distributor? I absolutely prefer gog.com to other online platforms.
That's up to GoG

2. Are there plans to include more features for the deluxe edition? I don't like the idea of dlc bonus characters or modes. I however do like receiving digital soundtracks, wallpapers, the making of videos, strategy guides etc in "Digital Deluxe Edition" versions.
Yes, look at more of this stuff

3. Are there plans for a map editor or modkit?
Yes! Map editor will be build in and modding will be supported.

It sucks that we can't play it now....
Cheers. I'm not holding my breath for a GOG release though, at least not until 2014.

This shit is going to be so grand though. Makes me want to reinstall TA and play it again. Would play Supcom (1, not 2) if the pathfinding wasn't so ass.
