hedwards: I think where they've drawn the line seems to be a reasonable compromise. It's inherently different when it's online versus in person. I do think that people ought to be more careful when it's in person. Just because it tends to intensify things quite a bit.

I could, for instance, call you all sorts of names and such and even if you did get a case of internet rage, you'd have to hop on like a 9 hour flight to the US to kick my ass. Few people are that committed to that kind of passion as to be wiling to apply for a Visa and buy a ticket in order to kick somebody's ass.

OTOH if it just involved you walking a couple blocks or even a few feet, that's a totally different scenario altogether.
