I posted this over at the JA Forums, and thought I'd pick everyone's brain over here, too! I saw a kinda similar thread from last month, but I started this one anyway because I wanted to keep it on adventure games. Anyway....

It's that time of the year, and I always have a hankering to play some good winter/snow setting games around now. I thought I'd mention a few that I've played and liked, and see if anyone else could recommend some great ones.

Indigo Prophecy - All time favorite (well, the first two thirds)
Syberia
Murder on the Orient Express
In Cold Blood

I'll edit or add to this I think of more. These are just off the top of my head, and I'm sure I've missed a bunch. Anybody else?
Penumbra. You can't go wrong with that. Cryostasis also looks good.

Indigo Prophecy was ace, but the later 1/3 of the game really didn't make any sense at all, and it just went downhill. Still, I really liked the first 2/3 of it.
didn't we have a thread like this a few weeks back? Someone saying they wanted snow and my first thought was Snow Bros on account of how awesome it was
Yeah! Penumbra was an awesome game. I wish there would've been more environments outside the mine.

I think I saw the one you're talking about, if it's the same thread, which is why I put this in the original post:

That thread seems to be a lot about action, racing, platformers, etc.... I was thinking mainly story driven type games.

Still Life. There are two story lines, one in the present and one in the past, and the former is set around Chrismas time.

You can count Post Mortem as predecessor of Still Life. You play the protagonist in one of the two storylines in Still Life again.
thnx for clearing that up, i heard something like that once, but couldnt exactly remember :)
Icewind Dale 1 or 2
Medal of Honor: Allied Assault
Medal of Honor: Allied Assault- Spearhead expansion
Lost Planet I
Splinter Cell: Chaos Theory

Good snow levels, MOH Allied Assault especially
Still life was a blast. The only thing was I found myself somewhat disinterested in the grandfather's story, and more interested in the main character's. I guess because I played through Post Mortem just before Still Life, I was a little tired of the setting.
