Ebany: Hate to drag this one back out but I'm having the exact same issue again.

I am unable to complete checkout. Once I have selected payment method and entered my details I click the finish button. The circle replaces the button to say its processing the payment but it never completes, just keeps going indefinitely. If I press F5 the page will refresh and say transaction is complete but no games appear in my account even though the money has gone from my account.

After checking history in my Visa account this is the sequence all the transactions followed. The money goes through but I get no email with a receipt and the GoG website has no ability for me to browse my purchase history.
I used to have this several times before, but not lately. Too bad if it still happens.

If it ever happened to me again, my preferred actions are:

- Wait several minutes for the processing to complete.

- If it doesn't complete, open another browser window to GOG, and check if the game(s) got added to your account. Also check your email if you got a receipt from GOG.

- If you got them, you can close the pending purchase window and continue with your life. (Once I got the game but not the receipt, but I asked GOG support afterwards to resend the receipt to me in email, just in case I ever need it in the future.)

- If you didn't get the games to your account, DO NOT try to purchase the game(s) again right away. Instead, check your (credit card) account whether you have been charged, or even if the money is reserved from your account (not purchased yet). In my case, the reserved money always seemed to mean the money transaction went through, and a few days later I would be charged for games I didn't receive.

- In this case (money reserved/charged, but no game), contact GOG support asking them to rectify it. Depending whether it is weekend and if the support is overloaded, they will do it in 1-n days.

- If the money didn't get reserved/charged, you can try to purchase the game(s) again.

Naturally it would be very important that something like this wouldn't happen at all. As suggested earlier in this thread, apparently there was earlier some bug where this could happen if you have several hundred games in your account, but for me that seems to be fixed now (and I think it was the reason I kept having these problems some months ago).

Are you still using scriptblocks / noscript ?

Momo1991: Did you post in the support page?

Previously I have had issues where it would bring up a blank page, but I have tried again now and got through. I thought I should get onto this thread again as it was the exact problem I was having before, also it's likely if I have this problem then others might too, how many just walk away and never come back.

This is excellent advice, and I can see by its accuracy you have shared my problem in the past :)

One thing I have not tried is opening a new browser page to see if the games went through, or at least I have only tried this after I hit F5 to refresh the page. Because I stopped receiving receipts via email some time ago I have been having some trouble identifying which games I have purchased but support are helping me with this issue.

keeveek: Are you still using scriptblocks / noscript ?
I do, the only two (2) scripts I disallow belong to Facebook and Twitter. In saying this though I still have this issue when using programs like IE, Chrome, or even Dragon. I have also tried from other computers which don't run the same level of security, I still have the same problem.

There was a time where, maybe mid last year, this problem happened rarely so I really didn't pay much attention. As I purchased more games the frequency increased to the point where, by about November, I could no longer do a transaction on GoG without seeing this problem.

I have held off purchasing games since I started having this problem, even going as far as putting some into my cart but never completing the transaction. I work 14 hour days in remote areas without phone or stable internet connection and on my days off I'm studying at University, setting aside time to deal with these types of problems is more than a luxury for me. Since Visa transactions can take up to five (5) days to show on my account, tracking my purchasing history without a receipt to show which games I purchased is next to impossible at this late stage.

I love GoG and their approach to sales so I will work with them to sort this problem but I do worry many people who are new may just walk away when they encounter this problem. Or even people like me who worry about the purchase going wrong so hold off till, like I have for the last few months.
