Hi there!

I have a question about the payment methods aviable at gog.com.
I used once PayPal as a guest and all works fine. I want to purchase another game with the same method, but PayPal refused this and want's me to create an account within PayPal.I don't want to make any long-term business relationship with payPal and will not create a payPal account. Do I understand correctly that with my bank account it is no longer able to pay by PayPal as a guest for ever? Is there any other payment method possilble apart from Credit-card or PayPal? Is it possible to pay by bank transfer? At least in the eurozone would be the most convenient and least expensive method of payment!

Thanks a lot!

If you have debit card you could pay by that method. However you should be aware that debit cards aren't that good for euro to dollar exchange

I don't know about the rate exchange but mine won't allow me to purchase things on GOG(perhaps if I asked), so I've stuck to using my PayPal account.

Most of them throw on high exchange fees

You should consider getting a credit card. While it is of little use in Germany itself, it has made my internet transaction a lot less of a hassle. Most banks offer them without any fees nowadays. A CC is also mandatory if you want to travel a lot. An added bonus is that I can withdraw with my current CC card from any ATM in the world without extra fees.

I still hardly use it apart from the internet and abroad, but it is handy to have if you need some quick cash from those otherwise unbelievably expensive ATM at the airport/train station.
