I havent purchased any gog games yet. But before I do, I just want to know how patching works gog games.

Say for instance, I purchased Unreal Tournament 2004....does the non-gog/retail patch work with the gog games itself? If the non-gog patch has something that affects or re-instate the copy protection, wouldn't that mess with the executable of the gog game?
if in the eventful time that a game is patched, the process is simple... redownload the entire game.

Beyond that, there are no other ways to patch a Gog.com game.

All games are already patched to their fullest patch version.

To be safe, I'd say it depends on the game. Some it would work fine, others maybe not. You should check with separate game forums, and maybe ask there, to make sure.

Also, typically, games on GOG are released in the latest patched version available.
