Have fun. You can play your empire you build up in Eu3 through Victoria 2 and later in Hoi as i recall. Its much fun to build an empire for such a long time period. But when you are strong at the end of one of the games, the world's power balance might be broken just a little bit.

And don't forget to look for some exciting mods. Like Magna Mundi for Eu3.

Have a nice world conquest.

hehe. Thank you. It will be a while till I can transfer my 'empire' to another game... I expect lots of failures in near future but i am alright with that.
So I am at my 29th hour of Europa Universalis 3

That's a s single campaign. Had chosen Castille, currently Spain on 1592 as my first nation as it seemed the easiest. Difficulty also easy as well as low aggressiveness of AI. I thought my first playthrough should not be too challenging.

Good choice as the game still kicked my butt at few times (going to war with either england or france is a BAD IDEA... especially since everyone else also joined them)

Great game. Really amazing. I am still learning new things but I am not disappointed at all (mostly.) Love how much details the put into everything, so many options to choose. Wars are fun, how history develops is fun too (mexico is english. east coast is Portuguese, Canada is Spanish. Poland got its butt kicked again tough)
Even on easy I find the game challenging (mostly because there are still things i don't fully understand). Beating natives in Africa is quite easy. Didn't dare to go to war with France, England or now Burgundy... although that will change as English are losing and Burgundy has no overseas colonies. Portugal had grown overseas tough. Will be problematic to get rid off.... should have eliminate it earlier.

Really recommend it.

The biggest problem is diplomatic options. very lackluster. You got three things only. Make them like you make them hate you, war.
In harder difficulty levels you might need to use it a bit better way but it still looks not sophisticated enough. Victoria should correct it i hope.

See pics of my small empire.

If I haven't recommend it already, definitely check out the EU3 Wiki. All kinds of information in there, and there are also wikis for every other Paradox title.
Just a small question for HoI masters.

Is HoI 3 really better than the second one?
I'm thinking of getting Majesty 2. Has anyone played that game?

Yep, just stoped playing. It's bloody addictive.

So its worth getting it then? It sits at 75% off right now on GamersGate.

I don't regret buing it. It is fun. If you have played Be a king, this is on similar principle, but much better.

Sometimes it is pretty hectic and it has some portion of stereotype.
