Apparently a new Painkiller game is coming soon.
They just can't stop ruining this brand, can they?

It's by Farm 51, which mostly consists of former People Can Fly employees, so unlike previous "mods turned into games", it actually has some potential.
Hmm, I thought locations and enemies in the screenshots looked a little too familiar, and in the logo the H and D letters are highlighted, so I take it this is actually an "HD" remake of the original Painkiller ala the Serious Sam HD games.

Yep, on the Nordic Games site it says "A modern remake of the Classic shooters, Painkiller and Battle Out Of Hell".

Uses Unreal Engine 3 too unfortunately...

EDIT: Also "Steamworks fully integrated"

Totalbiscuit got an e3 preview of it. Its showing an existing level from the original game. Its a bit confusing. It looks like they have redone the graphics of the original game, and added some new mission on the end.

These are 3 men, they made Necrovision. I can see no potential here.

The better part of People Can Fly went to Epic Games.

According to Mobygames there are at least 17 people who worked on both Painkiller and Necrovision.
Edit: OK - my mistake - 4 people. Most were just listed in the credits.

And that 'better part' of PCF worked on Bulletstorm so I'm not sure whether it's actually the better part.

I'm more interested in a Hard Reset sequel.

You say Necrovision was better than Bulletstorm?
