For anyone unaware here's notice that Original War will be removed from GOG by June 22. Bohemian Interactive seems to be departing GOG talking along with them Original War, Arma 2: Combined Operations, Arma Gold, and Arma: Cold War Assault.

GOG staff have indicated that there will be no discount on Original War before it's departure (and it's not part of the 50% Summer sale).

Posting here because some guy didn't know, and everyone should.

Thank you for the thread. I was about to post a warning tomorrow, but you beat me to it.
I was/am going to post something like this on the 21st.

Lets hope everyone who wants it gets it
Bumping this, so it's still on the first page. Don't want people to miss out if they want the game. =P
Anyone knows the reason for Bohemian Interactive taking everything away from gog? Did their license duration of the games expired or something?
It's sad to see another game removed from GOG but fortunately Original War will still be available on Steam.
I would have grabbed the GOG version if it was on sale but as i already have enough RTS games i won't buy it at full price. I might grab the Steam version when it goes on sale.
Many thanks to original poster for heads-up, but... June 22? Okay, let's say it's just coincedence. Could be September 1.
Standard "Is it worth it ?" question :)

From what I gather it's because Bohemia is under the strange impression that Original War was using Gamespy which has shut down and thus is removing both ARMA and Original War from here. Alternatively, the deal with GOG might be expiring and Bohemia might not want to renew it because they're going full Steam ahead (pun intended), as evidenced by the integration of Steamworks for ARMA's multiplayer.

If so, then I hope they won't sell much there >: )

I think Bohemia Interactive just doesn't want to bother with any platforms other than Steam. All their games (except Gaea Mission, which might be a mistake) have vanished from GamersGate as well, even though they could have offered Steam keys there.

ArmA 3 was sold exclusively on Steam (no other store was allowed to carry it as far as I can see) since its release last September, so the writing has been on the wall for quite some time.

Yes. Nuff said.

You could buy a giftcode as a powerful trading tool when the game is removed. Alternatively, if you want it for yourself, you can read our resident's Fenixp's thoughts on the game.

They did sell it on their own store. Still just a steam key though.
