Bah... notice how I posted that, how poor I was in words to described the shit this game is.
I'm really, really disappointed with Codemasters. Just get back to making only racing games and focus on supporting them.
Crassmaster: I am flat out baffled by where Codemasters is taking this series. Instead of staking out ground fpor those who are intimidated by Arma 2 but who want something more than CoD or MoH, they're apparently dropping it down as nothing more than another CoD or MoH. Why? You aren't going to poach sales from two series that well known. I'm baffled too.
They obviously think DR was an overly complex simulator for gamers, so they are making it more fun, as they say in interviews... damn.
There wasn't actual gameplay in that video, though you can already see that Codemasters never fail to surprise you. I'm surprised by how big of a simulator DR looks when compared to this sequel.
Also, the game will not have competitive MP. Only P2P 4-player co-op in the campaign (and maybe missions, don't know). No map editor.
drmlessgames: They' want to poach as much sales as they can before the next CoD or MoH is released. Codemasters are idiots, they'd rather try to toss in their CoD wanna be game instead of focusing on the strategic tactical and less significant gamer base. Agreed.
To me, they are trying to cash-in between the seasons of CoD and MoH and similar games, portraying Red River as a fun game and not a "oh so boring simulator".
