For a while there I was really addicted to amazon but I am over that now. I think I was trying to happy myself up during a bad time.

I do check Gamersgate and Steam daily for deals, but I don't buy stuff very often.

lowyhong: Admit it. You can't get through a day without looking at online...
Amazon who? Never bought anything there.

Currently only for GoG games, and occasionally IT-hardware or other "manly toys" (gadgets). When I go to Claes Ohlsson or some big IT-hardware store, there's so many nice gadgets I'd like to get, and many times I do. Last time I got a can of pressure air (to clean the motherboard of my old laptop of dust), a laptop cooler base, and an USB digi-TV receiver for computers. Originally I went to buy only the can of pressure air, the other two were mainly impulse buys.

Just yesterday I was sooooooo close to buying either of these gaming laptops online:

or its smaller brother with a smaller screen and a bit lower price:

but then I figured out it would be rather stupid because I just took my newer Win7 work laptop into use, so I should first check how good it is for games.

And it is not like I need a new laptop for GoG games, but maybe I'd like to try the Portal freebie I got from Steam the other day. But I guess it runs fine on my current (new) laptop too. I hope TeamFortress 2 does too.

I kinda do the same thing, though it definitely sounds like I spend way way less.
There's no way I can afford to spend $1500 in a month on online shopping. I probably buy myself an expensive (say $400-$700) toy like once a year.
I do check everyday to see if there's any outrageously low priced video game somewhere, even though I don't need them. I spend a lot of time on amazon looking for good books and putting them on my wishlist, and checking to see if stuff on my wishlist has gotten substantially cheaper. I also spend a fair amount of time at newegg looking to see how much the prices of parts have dropped. I have never used Ebay though

Grilledfish: "Snip" might be a poor choice of words. ;)
Is it? I thought it completely appropriate.

I hate being left out on the joke, especially when I'm the source of it :X

If it were described, you might get slightly unpleasant feelings.

So, now that you got the warning: "snip" means "cut off". Though I believe it originally was the post that was intended, not what's in your pants - the joke concerned the latter (the quote that mentioned "snip" was from the post where you mentioned "checking pants").

DD sites, Amazon, retail shops. It's all too easy when you're bored.

I don't act on impulses 99% of the time thankfully. Spending is still very much under control.

Even though I can't afford it, I usually end up looking at swords and such like that.

I have a bunch of sites in a bookmark called Shopping. When I'm feeling down I look at one of the bookmarks. I have a bunch of gaming sites, a bunch of t-shirt sites, and a whole slew of sites that sell weapons of all kinds.

Oh and then there's the misc swag stores. Ughhhh. So many!

My favorite present is a gift card to my top 5 sites.
