orcishgamer: Prepare to get raped and then find out later you got Champ Flooded. It is a killer fun game, but the people still playing multiplayer are brutally good.

stonebro: I know. I'm one of the champ flooders. I've been playing AoE II online for over 10 years. :P
Goths for life! Did you play during the Goth melee unit cost bug? That was so epic!
Minesweeper Flags is a good game to build/maintain relations with someone. Otherwise, if you want something commercial, Din's Curse is a good stepping stone.

My choices are either Aztecs, Vikings, or Chinese. Depends on the mood I'm in.
How about a good game of Civilization? Best way, I think, to play is using the PBeM Functionality... Take your turn, send over the savegame and wait to get it back. So no need to be online the same time ;)
League of Legends

It's free, it's addicting, it's highly strategic and fun. My dad loves it. I accidentally got him hooked and my mom does not approve. D:
I don't know which of these games work on your dad's computer but I'd suggest World of Warcraft (any casual can have fun without much thinking on which talent to pick etc) and Team Fortress 2 (if he likes TF2 humour and likes chaotic action). I'll update this post if I remember any more games.
