Will this memorywork with this motherboardand CPU?

I am just not that smart when it comes to this stuff, so I come to the place where others will know better than I. :o)

I had another thread asking for help, but since the new Intel chip is out I figure I would revamp everything.

I am lost when it comes to knowing what memory will work well with this build.

If I was feeling malicious I'd have replied with just a maniacal laugh to make you think you'd bought crap but I'll just say enjoy the new system, it should run pretty much anythig you throw at it at maximum quality, you can definitely get a good framerate from crysis...

Thanks for the help, as the memory choice was the most difficult for me with voltages, and timings and such. Plus I have never used Patriot brand for anything (never heard of them actually).

Going to overclock the CPU?

You probably know this but with 8GIG of RAM get a 64Bit OS.

I have a 32Bit OS with 8GIG but thats because it was cheaper to buy the 8GIG than 4GIG of the exact same memory and unlike the US companies in the UK have to honor advertised prices (if you can prove it) even if they did get it wrong.

Not right off, but I may try as this motherboard is suppose to make it very easy and it takes care of a lot of the things typically done by the user. Yes, I have Win7 64 ultimate upgrade waiting to install. :o)

With the exeption of my RAM if I bought a case Id have enough bits of old PC's to make a whole other PC, But DDR3 ram wont work in a shitty old mobo

That cooler unit with the CPU is pretty damn good. Keeps my 4 core athlon around 30 celsius even under stress. And I don't even have to keep it using maximum RPM.

If you do I'd love to hear how it goes, and what sort of performance you get out of it with that cooler. I'm seriously considering getting that cpu in the new computer I put together in the somewhat near future.

I ended up buying this case, but I got it on sale.

Everything should be at my door tomorrow, except for the motherboard, as it has to travel across the country to get to me.

Most everything gets to me in 1 day with no extra shipping required. :o)
