darthspudius: Edit: I think part of the problem is the general Iron Maiden fan base are a bunch of 14 yr old boys with absolutely no tolerance for change! :P
That could be said for most metal bands, especially the more traditional ones. I personally prefer if they just do what they like even if i don't necessarily like the direction it takes. Better than hearing the newest Ace of Spades variation over and over again ;)

That wouldn't be too bad. Motorhead never really replicated that Ace of Spades album sound.

They can be a hit or miss live depending when you saw them. I first saw them on the Hammered tour and it was brilliant, second time I saw them 5/6 yrs after was very fucking boring.

blotunga: I think I'm going to be stoned for saying this but I even like the Blaze Bayley stuff like Virtual XI and The X Factor, which are never sung at concerts.
Hey man, I like the Blaze Bayley material too!

darthspudius: My friend sent me this link and it's a fascinating page based on their début album.

Didn't they make an Iron Maiden video game? I wonder if that was any good.
